👴 Old Composer Reactions 🤘
They rocked! Thanks for the nice words about the drummer. That's my son!
I bet you are proud!! He and all of them sound awesome!!
Naaah man im in love with your son😩😩😩
Hopscotch and the zombie arm are a throwback to the album cover. They actually had a little girl playing hopscotch like a little cartoon. That's actually really creative
Hopscotch and the Zombie Arm sounds like a band name 😂
She killed it! The Go! was my favorite part :)
the hopscotch is not only from their album but was also featured in their music video for this song. great nod by the kids on that one
Man, I just loved the bass in this cover. It gave so much more flavor to it all.
This cover broke me up. I thought that I've seen a lot, but probably not everything, one of the best songs from KORN in this version ??? Of course, this is a studio version, but the double vocals + that "Go" are smashing me out. I am absolutely delighted.
Thx man
Bang on intro. You need to watch the official music video for this, then you will get even more how well the kids crushed this!
Edit: Gotta admit, I love her voice and how she expands some lyrics. Going to be a very interesting vocal career if she can keep this up.
Good morning from New England...Yeah they pretty much nailed it...The band was tight and they added their own flavor to the song..When this young ladies voice deepens a bit she will have a great voice..Thx man..Peace from the Northeast..
That was truely adorable, right up the the point where she said "GO".
Having heard this song probably a thousand times, it sounded off to me, but the way she nailed that "GO" completely got me.
How can an 8-yo be so off key, but do a shout like this? What do they teach kids these days? :D
Freaking amazing!
I think she did a better job with Tool's 46 & 2, unless that was someone else.
I've followed OMF for years and I'm sometimes a little sceptical about some of the vocalists. But that girl killed it! I loved her variation on Davis' scat/beatbox and was really impressed by her vibrato in the chorus.
I love the "little kid is excited movements" she does, she can't stop the flow
Her growling blasted my head ... sooo cool and gorgeous 🤩😊
Notice they did a PG version so she didn't have to drop the 'F' bomb.
had to re-listen to hear what they changed it too lol
I lost it on the GO part, she killed it well they all did. Since you did 46&2 when Kala was 9 do her last song for OMF cover of Crazy Horse by Black Label Society at age 18 you will love it. Thanks for the great reaction and stay safe.
O'Keefe Music Foundation are totaly badass. They've been doing incredible covers for a long while. Awwright!
This blew my tiny mind! She did incredibly and I absolutely loved the skill and professionalism of the band!
I REALLY love how the sound becomes unhinged around 7:11. It's like they're playing notes higher than in the original recording while still trying to go for the same sound. It really sort of breaks down in a way I can't describe very well. I feel it more than I know it.
Young people loving rock is all I hope for
She's so cute and trying her best. The band did really well. 😁
Pretty good! I couldn’t help cracking up at the “cheap place for me to lay” lyric and how cute the girl sounded during Davis’ first vocal breakdown but maaaan… she really gave it her all and the rest of the musicians were on point though some of the guitar noodling between Head and Shaffer was missing. Good choice Geebz.
I love the two music foundations I listen to on youtube, these kids got so much talent. I'm so glad this stuff is fostered so much now, it was hard even 20 years ago to express yourself as a kid.
Feels like the drummer is trying to feel in some of the added sounds from the music video in his playing, not gonna lie, I like it I grew up on those videos over the album.
This Little girl is killing it, I bet Jonathan Davis would love it.
Hey Geebz, so good to see you looking happy and sharing your thoughts on music with us. I just saw this yesterday, so it's nice that you are doing it right after my first experience with this cover. Two thoughts.
First, starting with the transition at 5:37, what about her voice??! I mean, she's 8, and with all the talent shows that are out there now, you see some young people with serious pipes, but I was very impressed with the strength and richness (for an 8 year old) while STILL maintaining the style of the song, which is affected, and makes it harder to sing with a clear tone. I loved her voice there. She managed to bring some power while still keeping the creepy.
Second, around 6:41 I noticed you had the most endearing smile, and were vibing with everything... knowing what was coming, I said out loud (to myself, I live alone)... "You... are... not... ready...". After, I froze the video at 6:45. Yep. You're weren't. Gotta love that. So much.
Anyway, thank you for all you do. Hope to see more from you soon. Be well.
little zoey has a great voice all these kids are brill
I love that Zoe, as hard as she rocks, says her 'FRs" as "FWs" as in fweak on a leash.
The girl from the 46 and 2 video is named Kala Rose. Her last O'Keefe video she was 18. They covered Black label society's Crazy Horse. You should check out how she matured and is now professionally singing in a band called Saving Escape. Very talented.
That growl!!
This cover is impressive in a lot of ways, but for me it really emphasize the fact that you don't have to, and probably won't anyway, sound like the original singer when doing a vocal cover. Everybody's voice sounds different, and are even set in different base keys. It's analogous to transposing something from one instrument to be played on a completely different instrument. Really groundbreaking revelation for recreational singing.
Makes me want to start a band with my nieces and nephews.
This is awesome! My 8yr old is singing about Bruno. Smh
Great video! That girl is going places! So cool!
NO matter what these kid grow up to do, they will always have this wonderful video snapshot of a moment in their lives.
what talent
2:03 so glad they changed the lyrics and I didn’t have to hear a child sing the og lyrics. I was like wait this is gonna get really dark really quick with this lineup
Really loved the video intro. The hopscotch throwback is so great, especially since it's a little girl doing BOTH the singing and hopscotch this time around.
Not gonna lie but I winced a little at the "a cheap f**k for me to lay" part. I was like "oh no! I don't think I'm ready to hear an 8 year old say the f-word in that context" 😅😅
Thank you Geebz
I saw this the other week, posted it to my music group page. Good stuff.
The growls made me cry lol.
How sweet that replaced the word "f***" for "place"during the chorus
What a fun video.
Thank you!
same OKM foundation girl sang 46 and 2 3 years later. The hopscotch is a nod to the album cover and music video also. So awesome! I the chicken skin on GO! too
GO!! holy sh*** that girl rocks!!! ... about the foundation and the original kids that performed in the cover of 46 n 2 those kids gave life nowadays to a new rock band a nice project you must put there on your list ... search for OLD SOUL ... I presume Indigo road might be the most listen single or viewed video. aloha El geebez hehe.
I can't help wonder if she knows the original lyrics and is just playing it safe for the parents, foundation, etc., or if she has only ever heard the censored version.
yeah I saw her about a week ago.
killer stuff🤘
This O'Keefes Music Foundation is doing a great thing providing these kids the opportunity to get into music. May I suggest you check out the 10 year-old boy that's done some Rage Against The Machine songs and some Korn.
You have to check out the cover of Cry Little Sister The O'Keefe Foundation kids did. INCREDIBLE!!!
Hopscotch is from the album cover
There’s a new Jinjer on the block!! 👍🏻🤘🏼
More Korn reactions pleaseee it's been a while 😁
- What did you do at the age of 8?
- Dunno. Playing with sticks, riding my bike n' stuff I guess.
- K.
1 little Bad Ass she caused me to loose it on Go. Wonderful program for up and coming little superstars
The opening is a nod to the album cover for Follow the Leader, Geebz. The kids were playing Hopscotch on the edge of a cliff.
Hopscotch also figures strongly in the official video for the song ...
It’s the revival of kidz bopz! No joke tho, she crushed it
Cool as hell
Do the rest of the o’keefe foundation covers
Please do a reaction to the original 👌👌👌
Being a composer I can't believe you haven't reacted to Architects live a Abby road!! Plz check that video out and see how amazing the orchestra did!
Protest the hero in their prime. Circa 2009. Intense show. Off of the album Gallop meets the Earth
Now I just need them to do "Down in a hole" with Alice in Chains. Coz its my favorit band
Can you do entheogenic
❤
Aloha bro could you do the original song freak on a leash by the artist Korn please thank you love your content keep up the good work brother
"SPIDERS" BY SYSTEM OF A DOWN, PLEEEEEAAAAASE
When did Richard Dreyfuss get a react channel?
Do Karnivool "New Day"
im gonna take a moment to note the PHAT bass around 2:50
check out 'ANIMALS AS LEADERS - Micro-Aggressions. . ViA Rick Beato suggestion. Incredible stuff.
there is a version of Korn doing this song in a live play through at BBC Radio. (ua-cam.com/video/703Eh2X5Q-Q/v-deo.html) if you are interested in seeing them in a sort of studio play through.
Oh yeah and the 9 year-old girl Taylor that does Slipknot songs.
100/10
Do Dance Gavin Dance…they got a new track btw
What?!?! No way. I haven't seen this. Now I'm excited 😁
If your watching this you must love music. If you can afford it, go give them a contribution on their UA-cam videos. Support the future of our music!!!
Great! And whats even more cool about many of these young musicians is that they are choosing METAL to release their talents and to me that is the ONLY music. Love This Video. "You can not kill the metal." Hope for the future cause todays cookie cutter pop music metal SUCKS!
one of these days you should really check out Gojira's Adoration For None
guitars and drums were on point. The bass sounded a little funny. The girl did great when she actually sang and when she growls "FINE!", everything else not so much. Probably should have listen to the original to know how well the did. This song is about the music industry, he's the freak on a leash. "It's about how I feel like I'm a fuckin' prostitute. Like I'm this freak paraded around, but I got corporate America fuckin' making all the money"
I wonder if the lead singer from KORN has seen this
An eight-year-old doing Freak on a Leash? What's Freak on a Leash about?
Turns out this is the second time this channel did this song because the 1st one showed in my suggestions. Last year is was a teen boy in the lead singer and only got 150K views so i guess they picked someone else who'd get them more clicks. I hope that older kid doesn't see this new vid because it would suck knowing that it got 6x more views in two weeks then his did in a year. Sucks they gotta use kids like that... "oh you're not getting enough clicks"
Hey can you react to The Hives-Hate To Say I Told You So... Please
Yep I did not like Korn in the 90’s and i still don’t like it no matter who plays it 🤣 but great review and the kids are doing a great job
I’ve always thought Korn would have sounded better with a real bass rather than a floppy detuned guitar and it does
So, maybe unpopular opinion here but this disturbs me. I don’t think it’s cute. I think the band is awesome and the kid is trying her best to mimic what she’s heard, but . . . is this healthy?
I just found it cringeworthy if I’m honest. Sorry folks
