So much better then any other Evercade content out there. I like that you do research, teach us history, have well-reasoned critiques/opinions, and actually finish the games (mostly) before you review. A real credit to the platform. 😎

blaster master is epic. that will always bee one of my number 1's for nes. Fun fact, the music was composed by the same guy who composed journey to silius.
Largely agree with your ratings, but on first play I was really unimpressed with the cart. The only game I had played back in the day was Aero and didn't like it at all. Did give the cart a chance and it really grew on me. The star for me is Blaster master, while I like journey to silliness it's more a 7/10 with 10/10 music for me. Maybe I'll have to give aero another go as I never bothered to get past the early stages.

The gems for me on this are Blaster Master & Journey to Silius which I have both on the Switch (offered thru the sub. service) so that makes this collection a non-essential for me.

Gimmick went from underrated to overrated: it's one of those games that thrived in the "hidden gem" era of UA-cam, but wasn't much appreciated at the time of its release.
Wow... it's bizarre that nobody else even mentioned that this ISN'T the arcade version of the first game in the collection, but a Romhacked version that removes the word "super" from the title. Truly bizarre.
It's on a console cart. It goes without saying it's not the arcade version.
Delphine Software is a computer cart and it has a Genesis game on it so I don't think we can take anything for granted

Crow, do you keep your running list of graded Evercade cartridges online somewhere? It’d be cool to be able to reference it
Sort of. My Tiemaker list exists, but only in the state where people can rank the collections themselves. In order for everybody to see my list, I'd have to post it, but the problem is that it wouldn't update every time I'd add a new collection. I'd have to delete the post and repost the new one and the link would be different every time. I also keep track of all the scores on a spreadsheet in my Google Drive, but I don't know if I really want to grant everyone access to it.
Since I own Blaster Master and RAF World my reason to buy this will be Mr. Gimmick. Surprisingly RAF World has the same intro as Journey to Silius, including English text. So for once the story is the same all over the world!
I think the Famicom release of (Super) Arabian had you spelling names of animals, and for some reason Blaze have changed the words? Does that make it not-super Arabian? Could have anything to do with licensing, or is this changing stuff just because they can? Jump & climbing controls are indeed weird.
I didn´t like Robo Warrior, and was hoping they might have changed the bit with darkness and lanterns. Sounds like it's very much the same game...
I just checked and they didn't change the words in (Super) Arabian. They only removed Super from the title screen.

@@bjornh1527 lol... No biggie... The thing I found interesting is that I just compared against the arcade version and discovered that has you spelling "arabian" in every level for the bonus
@@CrowContinuum Yeah, I guess they had one more letter to hunt down in the arcade, wonder if they scrapped it due to change in resolution.
One more reason to have different words on different stages could be mail in competitions where they ask you "what´s the words on the first 4 levels" or something like that.
Sunsoft's reputation for excellent music, alas, _did not_ begin with Arabian.
I have this cart but have neglected to put any time and effort into playing anything in it other than a few quick blasts. Other than the interesting music on Journey to Silius, the games are rather lame, including Journey to Silius.
Just as well these carts are cheap. There are better, older Evercade game collections out there that have more appeal.
