The main trouble is the lack of discipline by their parents. My father gave me a good shellacking if I disrupted a class or got a bad report card. I wouldn’t even think of raising my voice to a teacher or police officer My parents were good parents and raised me with good moral values. The parents of today’s kids don’t give a damn. Just let them run wild and let the schools deal with it

@@theapocalypse5752 Let me tell ya a story, in Puerto Rico since I was in school in the 1996-2004, teachers were allowed to hit you in your hand with a ruler or small riding crop, if you didnt behave after that, they would grab you by the ear, and pull you to the office, shit hurts like fuck because I had it happened to me. that's not even the end of it. The principal would call your parents, and you had this fear in your head of getting your ass whooped in front of all the school by your parents. Trust me, after my outburst in the 3rd grade, I've been a straight A student and never misbehaved ever again.
Just remember there is a fine line between beating some one to death or just hitting them once or twice with mild force, you are not mutilating a kid, you are just giving them a reality check, something a simple slap across the face can fix. Punish bad behavior, reward good behavior. many ways to do it, and it works, as said so in Lawrence Kolhberg's stages of moral development.

She starts by saying that students are there to learn, but that is simply not true. The sad fact is that education isn't for everybody. There are lots of people who just simply don't want to learn, and forcing them to do something they don't want to do, or simply can't, is abusive. Darwin is going to see things through no matter what, and lots of people simply aren't going to make the cut.

Wow. That perspective doesn't make any sense to me. I get that not everyone will follow through with continuing education and I have good friends that dropped out of high school and done really well in life.
At this age, saying that making children do something they don't want to is abusive is an idea that baffles me.
      Please explain.
Letting children do whatever they want, letting that immature undisciplined nature guide the child's growth seems to lead to these problems. Being at the mercy of one's fleeting whims and passing emotions is not freedom. Not having any guidance on what is acceptable behavior in public, not being able to transcend one's own narcissism to act for a common good does not pan out well into adulthood, psychologically or socially.
To me at least, it is abusive to Not teach children self control, personal discipline, and respect for others.
If you'd like, share more about your perspective. I'm trying to understand it.

    Progressive political philosophy:
How to create a socialist state by Saul Alinsky:
There are 8 levels of control that must be obtained before you are able to create a socialist state.
    1) Healthcare - Control healthcare and you control the people
    2) Poverty - Increase the Poverty level as high as possible, poor people are easier to control and will not fight back if you are providing everything for them to live.
    3) Debt - Increase the debt to an unsustainable level. That way you are able to increase taxes, and this will produce more poverty.
    4) Gun Control - Remove the ability to defend themselves from the Government. That way you are able to create a police state.
    5) Welfare - Take control of every aspect of their lives (Food, Housing, and Income).
    6) Education - Take control of what people read and listen to - take control of what children learn in school.
    7) Religion - Remove the belief in the God from the Government and schools.
    8) Class Warfare - Divide the people into the wealthy and the poor. This will cause more discontent and it will be easier to tax the wealthy with the support of the poor.
