I marked hydrogen + helium in deep sea diving and it got me wrong, i searched for answers; at many places it says H+ He for the same reason you explaned but at many place its H+ nitrogen.. Now this had me really confused what to do in exams if i get this question.

Correct answer is oxygen+helium. Earlier oxygen+nitrogen was used but nitrogen started causing side effects and it was replaced with helium.
So if helium+oxygen is marked incorrect you can raise this issue with the exam conducting body
