Hi Lex! first off you painted your nails red! It's a rarity to see that on you! Love it. For " And so I roar" I recommend you listening to it. It will go faster.☺ I read most of the books you mentioned on here. You are right when you say Africans are fabulous story tellers. Have you heard of the Attic child? by Lola Jaye I am currently reading it. I appreciate this video a lot. Thanks!

Lex, your vlog on the African writers is interesting. Contemporary authors like Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie drew from the lineage of modern African literature produced by such writers as Chinua Achebe, Flora Nwapa, Ngũgĩ wa Thiong'o, Wole Soyinka.
Other notable books by African writers that I would recommend are as follows: Efuru by Flora Nwapa, The Stone Virgins by Yvonne Vera, The Collector of Treasures by Bessie Head, So Long a Letter by Mariama Bâ, Changes: A Love Story & No Sweetness Here and Other Stories by Ama Ata Aidoo, Woman at Point Zero & Memoirs from the Women's Prison by Nawal El Saadawi, The Joys of Motherhood & Second Class Citizen by Buchi Emecheta, Nervous Conditions by Tsitsi Dangarembga, News from Home by Sefi Atta, and Distant View of a Minaret by Alifa Rifaat.

I wanted to read something by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, but their comments a few years ago put me off of them.
