Thanks for watching X Games!
Can we just take a moment to appreciate that one guy who is filming while he is doing the jump. He even got them in frame. Good job!
Its gimbalgod....you should check out his instagram or Stale Sandbech's UA-cam channel. He is such a good filmer
I always say the same thing, the camera guy deserves way more credit than he gets.
I'm just going to say it. I am disappointed that some of the girls I've waited an entire year to see didn't compete in this year's Big Air. I was really really looking forward to seeing Anna Gasser and Reira Iwabuchi as well as Julia Marino. I am glad that Jamie Anderson did show up though and if it wasn't for that nasty fall, she might've just taken the gold or the silver instead of the bronze. Women's Big Air at X Games Aspen 2019 was a good event. However, it could've been a helluva a lot better. Well, X Games Norway perhaps. Fingers crossed.
Really proud of Zoi Sadowski-Synnott Well done girl
Women’s: a 720=25/50
Men’s: a 720=7/50
I mean congrats to all the girls but they’re lucky Anna Gasser injured herself and wasn’t there to throw triple underflips and cab doubles
She just forgot for a moment, that she is just a girl! So sorry to say the truth ... But it's stronger than me ...
When jamie fell i was so sad
Looked like the camera man didnt come back down 😂 19:10
He went into orbit
Saw the young beast Kokomo Murase doing history then searching for later X games tournaments and she's not here. I guess getting injured in this kind of sport really is common
Serious question: Why do the women generally have far less rotation than the guys? Is it comparative lack of strength? Rene Rinnekangas and loads of the Japanese guys are pretty small and similar heights to the women, but their baseline first trick is a double 1260 versus a cab 9…
barryborris Anna gasser has done cab triple underflip!!!! Unfortunately she was hurt during this event.
Well basically the women have never had a reason to do bigger rotations than this. Only a few years ago you could win with two 720's. Now, after Anna Gasser entered the scene, the general level of womens snowboarding has skyrocketed. Since all women now have to constantly improve to keep up, the level will only keep rising fast.
Ådne Matre Thanks. Yeah it's wired they haven't progressed at the same rate. Chloe Kim is on another level to other female pipe riders, but Ayumu Hirano who is the same size/weight will get 40% more rotation on every hit.
ya Anna Gasser can triple underflip, girls just have never had a reason to go so big, but girls like Anna are starting to realize hey we can go bigger and are stirring things up and its awesome!
Anatomically speaking, women aren’t as strong as men, men have a lower center of gravity, and women’s hips have a wider splayed out shape where as men’s are basically straight up and down, which makes spinning a lot easier.
Какие красивые девушки 😊
Спасибо за видео 👍
Throwing it down! Great event
The camera operators should get at least half the pay of the winner. You're lucky to even see this. God I hope they get paid well.
What an ending!
Sad for Anna Gasser :(
Roast TV why didn’t she compete?
@@Andry_ Ankle injury
It's really disappointing to not see Anna come to show that women have progressed because this competition was lack luster to say the least. That's not a jab at women overall. They have progressed but when the chicks come out and barely compete like this, it holds the sport back.
The men throw down year after year and it forces everyone to raise the bar. They need to be pushed. Maybe co-ed doubles competition in the future could help ?
I like watching women's skiing and snowboarding more than mens. Much more style.
I somehow read this as "Women's Surfboard Big Air"
7:50 looks like a cork 360
"Looks like "
I dont know how a cork 360 looks on a sbowboard
But stylish
Want to try it out
nopee Nopeee that’s a method 180
@@jerichojohnson6253 hope that was a joke cuz hailey never did a method 180 in this competition
@@jerichojohnson6253 nooo 180 is a half turn
And method is a grab on your hell side
And on the method you tweek more the board and legs and not your full body
(In my opinion It looks like a millerflip without handdrag)
Laurie and Zoi both got 42+35 , so why did Laurie win the game?
Well there is a rule in tiebreakers. In the event of a tie in Women's Snowboard Big Air. The rider who score the highest of that trick will be the winner.
Laurie's landings are amazing. Sooo clean.
What happened to Hailey Langland ?
She just had rotater cuff surgery
There will never be an American commentator who isn’t cringe asf
This years Women's Snowboard Big Air X Games Finale was a huge let down for me!
I have been following Snowboard perhaps for the last 4 years or so and I have seen the amazing progress they have made but what happened in this event ?
Apparently many people love to see those "stylish" jumps but to me it's like they are saying: Yeah I don't feel like doing anything else so I'm just gonna jump regularly and maybe do a grab.
Why couldn't they have given the spot to someone who actually wants to perform then ?
No I don't consider doing a Method on a huge jump to be impressive or satisfying at all.
That's like saying I prefer Snowboard the way it used to be before they started spinning and corking, which is basically an essential part if you want to keep progressing the idea of Snowboarding like the athletes have done for years now!
I know these girls can do so much more and if it actually was because of fear for the jump itself why couldn't they fix the jump in time ?
It's pretty insane how they hype this up and then afterwards you hear that the construction of the jump itself is a huge factor for if they want to go big or not really go at all.
How many years have they been doing X Games in Aspen now ? You'd think they would know how to build a jump that pleases the riders, no ?
I have no knowledge in building a jump but after years of doing the same thing, should that really STILL be an issue ?
Yeah some cool jumps were in here but overall anti climax for me.
Dude. This jump is smaller than the last booter in the slopestyle, and you'll notice the same girls throwing methods off this were doing 10s off that. It's not the size of the jump. It's conditions on the day of the event.
@@evanbridsonpateman You mean 10s as in 1080's ? If so I can not recall seeing 1 female rider doing that in this years slopestyle 🤔
I heard that the riders had been criticizing / discussing the jump after the event. Weren't the conditions perfect that day ?
🤘🤘😝😝 girls are the best!!!
Without Anna Gasser the match is much less thrilling.
To hell with the guys. The girls have the flexibility to be better champs.
Filming life to Remember it. Women can’t even triple kork
Stop fantasizing ! please! in men's divisionThe level of difficulty in last THIRD trick is incredible ! several women in their second trick fail and others do only half ! Just be realistic...
Snowboarders girls are so hot!
оо контент подъехал )
i’m sorry but who the hell watches this?
Me, and i just wasted 30 min :( or maybe 10, i skipped alot
First women's snowboarding event I've ever watched live and I was pretty disappointed overall. I understand Gasser didn't compete and Zoi and Blouin were impressive but methods and 180s? Really?
The two most stylish tricks of the contest
@@MikeTython831 If anyone wanted to see style they'd watch youtube snowboarding vids not the xgames big air event
LeBraun
Yea I’m sure you would have done better 😂🤣😂
If they’re not feeling it they’re not feeling it it’s a huge jump after all...and doing 180s and methods is still nice to see definitely better than not joining the comp at all....so stop bitching about it
goldwizzard77 this is the x games, they should have stepped it up
shes injured you dummy, why so arrogant?
boring
Jamie is so bad :)
I cant believe u
Jamie is the best feels bad that she fell
@@aidenalexander391 you dont even know why im calling her bad lmao and i know shes one of the best.
@@aidenalexander391 and im saying it as shes gorgeous like bad af cause shes a beast on the slopes and super beautiful so def beleive me when i say shes bad.
@@kraigbutcher4864 oh yeah well your right about the beauty and the slopes that lady is finominal
Hahaha! This is an awful Xgames for snowboarding! Almost no big names both in the women’s and men’s competitions ... omg
wtf
Stale sandbech ? Mark mcmorris ? Seb toots ? Mikey cicerrelli ? Darcy sharpe ? These arent big names ? What do you wish to see, todd richards and eddie wall ?
Arnie2-D2 sebbe literally chucked a double fronty. Was stylish as
Pedro Hernandez excuse my lack of transparency. Let me rephrase: The big names who usually progress the sport are lacking, like Marcus Kleveland, Max Parrot, Hirano and Yuki Kodono. But I will now eat my words after seeing the men’s big air snowboard final.
🤘🤘😝😝 girls are the best!!!
