    The hump jumper, I love that name...
    In the USA you can get one but it's called a "jean-a-ma-jig". Comes in different heights. I often use Emory fingernail files stacked, depending on the height I need. The sandpaper finish helps stick all layers together. They come in different heights as well

    Great tutorial, but maybe would be clearer on a lighter coloured zip.💚

    Great tutorial, this will help a lot, thank you so much. Does the iron help the glue to set? What is the name of the glue & where do I buy please.This has to be the best tutorial I've seen yet.

    • @AndrieDesigns
      @AndrieDesigns  5 років тому

      Thanks so much Lorna! Yes, so ironing the joins after applying glue just helps dry it faster so you can get on to the next step quicker. I use the Sewline Glue Pens which look like this - www.amazon.com/Sewline-Water-Soluble-Glue-Pen/dp/B011RUW2XO :)

    What's the zipper tab measurement?

  • @karenscott5857
    @karenscott5857 4 роки тому +1

    Hi thanks for that but how do you know what length to make these ...I want to put on a bag instead of the outer zipper but not sure on the sizing needed thanks

    • @AndrieDesigns
      @AndrieDesigns  4 роки тому

      Hi Karen! Thanks for your question but unfortunately, there's no easy answer for that sorry. The length of your recessed zipper panel depends on several factors, including the depth of your bag at the top, the width of your bag, how far down inside the bag you would like the panel to sit etc. We have a recessed zipper panel hack on our website (for our Stand Up & Tote Notice pattern) which may help show you how to calculate the size of the panels you need and also how to hack your pattern pieces - www.andriedesigns.com/stand-up-tote-gets-zipped/

      You're most welcome Lori! Thanks!! My hump jumper came free with my Bernina sewing machine, however if you google 'height compensation tool' or 'Bernina height compensation tool', I'm sure you'll find places that sell them! :)
