Yeah Americans are actually globally recognized for their contributions to art. The art world is competitive in the USA. I’m not American, but I have a strong appreciation for many American artists. Also, there is a quality of classic American art that is quite unique, and probably requires some long term knowledge of the history and culture.
I also feel like the culture in the USA changes rapidly compared to many other countries. Americans are also very vocal about their feelings. And a lot of American artists reflect these cultural changes in their work, and are not concerned about how much they express themselves. People like Georgia o’Keefe, Jackson Pollack, Basquiat, and Andy Warhol. They did things that were absolutely alien in the art world. Like, there was no throttle. They just did it.
I’m not an artist, this is just what I think about it.
Lol poor Debbie. I’m a ceramic artist but I literally have a full time normal job to support myself and my family too lol. There are zillions of artists here. This guy has no clue. And no Visa 😂

I’m glad for Debbie, he said as nothing more than a liar and a user. All he wanted was her to bring him to the USA. As a professional artist in America, I've made most of my money from buyers ABROAD and work almost completely online since my clients are typically in Europe and Asia... and it's cut throat here in the arts. You need a whole lot more than a nice studio to make art that sells consistently. Oussama needs to research the private fine arts industry before making these decisions

In one episode it was revealed to us that Oussama is a sick psychopath and makes Debbie afraid of Morocco in the dark, and Mahmoud is a solid dude and acknowledged how hard she tried and so he is willing to try to move here for her. That was so sweet. I’m really rooting for them now. Jen creeped me out 100% and I see where both Yohan & Danielle are coming from and it’s hard to watch.
