This was fun to watch. You each have your own unique methods you use in your sewing so it was fun to see the end result of the same bag with slightly different processes. They both turned out beautiful! The more I watch your channel, the more I'm inspired to try using cork.
Hi ladies. I come across this video way late but I’d like to get into making bags for m and my daughter. I’ve been thinking about making things and selling at craft fairs and if I’m any good at making bags I might add that to my crafts. So how much do you think it takes to get started up making bags to sell? Im in Missouri. I’d like a side business.
Hi Carol, that is a really hard question to answer. There are a ton of variables, what materials you use, what styles you make, what/who your market is, where you’ll sell (farmers market, craft fairs, city wide events, comicons, etc etc), how much you travel, what you want to invest, etc. It’s something that you just have to try and grow into and see if it is a viable side hustle or if it’s a better hobby.
@@SewGnar found your channel while l was looking for how to on edge coating & have now fallen in love with your channel!!! I haven't used my machine in years, & now you have inspired me. Thank you. I have now gone down the rabbit hole of trying new things & watching your videos along with Lauren's. Looking forward to making your Zipper pouch and to making the Retreat bag.

Could be turned into a regular handbag with an adjustable strap! Great video!
Do you have different fabric & vinyl scissors? Or do you use one pair for both?
My scissors for cutting all fabrics are the same!
