Marianna Trench snailfish have recently been becoming one of my new favorite sea creatures, mostly for how amazing it is that they can live/thrive in such dark depths/extreme conditions and for how much they defy expectations of what people would have been prepared to see in the deepest points of our oceans. Often people's thalassophobia runs wild and people would normally assume something monstrous at the deepest depths of the ocean - and instead, we get little ghostly beans! ^^
I’ve seen this on a Asian documentary. I think they put some type of food down there and these six came out and started eating. They watched for hours. Amazing stuff

Some say, the fish at this extreme depth does not get crushed because they adapted to the pressure and that its inside pressure is the external pressure. BUT that would mean that these creatures would explode in low pressure environments, like our athmosphere. But there was a photo show of the fish not being exploded under normal atmospheric pressure. How can that be?

There potentially is in the lake of mt Fuji (iirc). Scientists have reported seeing something as long as their submarine down there.
