Welp this match was very tricky to film due to the unbalanced matchup. I didn't realise how hard 3M counters Hexeblau until I got in a day of playtesting... and it was rough. Ultimately it took quite a bit of luck to get a match I found satisfying, so while it may not be the most representative of how this matchup usually goes (much more one-sided...), hope you guys enjoy it all the same! In terms of their actual competitive performance, neither deck seems to have much presence with Hexe at 5 recipes and 3M at 1 since EX7's release end-May (with BeelStar control doing better at 4). But taking a look at the Hexe recipes, it's hard to call them Hexe as majority feel more like Blue source control toolbox, mixing in the DNA of other powerful Blue cards such as Blue Hybrid, MirageGaoga and even Kuzuha.
Thought so, unfortunately aside from the bad matchup, Hexeblau does not benefit from any mean of protection while trying to be a 2TK deck. You can actually set up some really powerful swings, but it takes so much time to set up a good stack and so little to take it out that you lose a lot of memory everytime and the opponent can gather tempo to counterpush. I think that with the current meta you need at least some sort of protection or capability to restore board presence on a whim, meta is way too fast right now (saying this from a aggro player perspective), we'll see if a new banlist will limit some ukkomon plays. Also, @rustmarrow I'd like to ask your opinion on the BT17 tribal pulsemon (so not based around Takemikazuchi) and EX06 Barbamon/donedevimon, do you think they're playable or are they doomed to D tier? (where D stands for disappear)
That was a very impressive match between these two. Explains how bonkers these two decks can be. And, come bt18, one will get ice hybrids and the other will get Violet as a tamer.
A bit of a highroll on getting the tamers in security to accelerate for Hexebla, but it kinda needs it in a matchup which can just refill it's sources. And even then, 3 Musketeers won; with an extra swing in the back to boot. But this is entirely what I expected. Hexeblau is very clunky until BT18 gives it more Ice-Snow, and even then it's a bit clunky since you turn into a half-Hybrid deck.
So glad to see that Three Musketeers won because this is the deck I want to make from the set so it was great to see it in action and see how it works and can clinch a game.
Honestly, disappointed but not surprised. When Hexeblaumon keeps whiffing on effects, and Three Musketeers just reloads sources, not to mention naturally has a bunch of removal, the match was never gonna go in my boy's favour. But that's fine. I've always loved an underdog
Haven't watched yet but I WANT TO BELIEVE IN 3M Easily my favorite deck from ex7 so I want my lads to win! Edit: wow that was rough. A good game but definitely shows how hard this MU is for hexe jeez. But YAAAAAAY my girl clinches it!
Unfortunately, unless Violet's Ghostmon evolves into a '4th Musketeer', I think we won't be seeing 3M again in a long while. Hexe might be making a comeback as one of the Liberator webnovel Tamers has a Frigimon partner, which might bring another wave of Ice-Snow support (that is NOT Hybrid-based)
Unfortunately, nowadays I have my hands full with Digimon already. Otherwise I'd love to add a few match videos of other TCGs - was hoping to do the Battle Spirits Kamen Rider in March but wasnt able to
Can someone please tell me what the music that plays when Hexeblaumon is played is called? I keep hearing rust use it in videos, and I both don't know what to search for it and can't really use an audio finder thing to figure it out
3 Musketeers is an awful matchup for Hexe. 3 Musketeers can make big stacks with option cards, has removal which Hexeblau has absolutely 0 protection against, and even activates effects when their sources are trashed. I assume this result is with Rustmarrow doing multiple games just to get a game that shows off what Hexeblau can do a bit. In most cases you'd never even hit Hexeblau and just lose. Not hitting any removal in the triple-swing check against 3 Musketeers isn't that likly.
Very surprised 3 Muskets were doing so well. Usually when your fighting a Blue deck that trashes evolution cards for memory gain its Usually a uphill battle.
If only Hexe would run something like Sourai, or its own option, Beelstar never have attacked and regardlees of having no Digimon on battlefield, 3M would had frozen solid.
@@yukimikuo Looking at the 1 winning 3M recipe, I would drop 1 Black Toyagu and 1 BeelStar X. But since I personally feel that BeelStar X is quite important as a game clincher, I might drop 1 Gundra/MagnaKid instead

Omg what does BeelStar control look like!?

Actually REALLY looking forward to playing Ice in BT18. Might not be the strongest, but goddamn I love the flavor.

Yea I hate that you are forced to go half-Hybrid for the rest of that Ice-Snow support. Keeping my fingers crossed for the webnovel's Frigimon Tamer!
I was waiting for blitz omni for game. Got kinda disappointed it didn't happen 😢
"You brought a sword to a gun fight?"
"You brought a gun to a Magic fight?"
Hexeblau let's go! (Just started the video)
Not just A gun, but our entire armory of guns!

*sigh* well I’m glad I got to see how the new Hexeblaumon line works

2 Tamers and an option in blue sec?! Even with the luck of the blue cards on your duels, this time it wasn't enough for them
I want to try both decks. But I already decided for Gale on EX7. Will still play these two on the sim.
Hopefully Hexeblaumon gets a tamer in the Liberator novel (the green haired woman with Yukidarumon/Frigimon).
Haven't watched yet but I WANT TO BELIEVE IN 3M

If i ever get into this game, i'm playing three musketers for the bullet slinging goodness
No Gundramon 😢
Do you think we’d see these decks in the near future? Especially since they both got support in BT18?

Random question, would you ever consider doing another Gate Ruler match? I still think about that demonstration match you did sometimes.

Yep, too many games I finally managed to setup Hexe and swing... only to step into a Security landmine
Whats the name of the song played during the match!?
Digimon Liberators Theme Song
Trashed digilutions from magnakidmon 🤔 should of had effects go off, as when the options are trashed from sources do things
Im disapointed that all 4 deck i was rooting for in this round got defeated😂
Lock and load!
Tree musket deck really counter hexeblaumon. Especially with removal ess.
That was cold from belstar
Time to freeze these troublemakers! Hahaha
WOOOOO THAT'S MY GIRL BEELSTARMON YEEEEAAAAAHHHH
Can someone give me an explanition on how to play 3m effectively and how the 3m trait works?
Yo what's the music you use?
What is the OST for the video ?
Digimon World 2 Boss Battle music for the beginning, and the Digimon Liberator theme song at key moments (Cyber Sleuth Boss Battle for Magnakid)
Come on Three Musketeers!!!

Not for 3M!
Time to fill the ice with lead

Dang. Who I wanted to win lost. 🙁
Oe ctv en donde esta el protoform en tu deck si no esta en la receta al final
No hay protoform?
No Violet Tamer for the 3M deck? D:
WAS REALLY ITCHING TO INCLUDE HERE, but decided not to for fairness since she's BT18
@@rustmarrow what would you replace from the decklist in the video to add her? :0

I'm gonna try a version similar to that one

Tabletop sim
Quite literally have gone 0-4 this tournament on my decks winning, see y'all next set I guess 🥴
Cant Joe win a memory when he is played due to him stripping a source?
Nope! That effect is [Your Turn]
@@rustmarrow you're right my bad
Men why does my favorite color deck always lose 😂 you can do this blue
Noo Hexeblaumon just got chance to win and mached with a deck conters it on firs mach😢.
