Railway enthusiasts are generally of a precise detail nature - that does not include myself necessarily, I am just making a rivet-counting observation! 70022 was a Western Region Britannia in its early days and following the "Polar Star" accident which was blamed upon reduced driver visibility because of hand rails on smoke deflectors, WR Brits had their rails removed, and the deflectors pierced by hand-hold "apertures." Britannia was not a WR Brit and still has the handrails so it should not STRICTLY masquerade as one. But Mr Hosking can do as he likes of course, just so long as he keeps his engines on the main lines for us all to see, enjoy and for oldies like myself, remember! Need I say more :-)
Excellent video Ryan. Captured them at a fantastic choice of locations. Well done. Kind regards C&A
Enjoyed both days and amazed at the clarity. Brilliant quality sound and vision! You have a good set up there. Steve
terrific video! :)
Great stuff. Looking forward to seeing them double head through Totnes in a couple of weeks time.
