Keep in mind that Trump is only 3 years younger than Biden is and he has taken 2 cognitive tests, from 2 different psychologists and done extremely well on both of them, he still plays golf and gets exercise regularly, and Biden has REFUSED multiple requests to take even a single cognitive test for the past 10 years, I think since he is asking our country to "TRUST" him and vote for him, at his age, he should take a cognitive test like Trump did without being asked to do!

    • @LordLOC
      @LordLOC 2 місяці тому

No, he didn't. Debates are worthless, since they aren't for regular party voters but for undecided voters basically. Not to mention, we vote for President of the United States. Not who has the best debate performance. Trump was just as incoherent as Biden was just in his own Trump way. And as others have said, Biden at least was trying to spout off his accomplishments as President while Trump was spouting absolute lies and falsehoods, still not accepting the 2020 election or taking responsibility for Jan 6th and even saying he'd only accept the results of the 2024 election if it met HIS standards. And then today, the SCOTUS made it clear what another Trump term would be like, and probably even worse. But no one is talking about that at all, all they care about is Biden looked frail and couldn't talk good in a debate with moronic rules etc.
Again, November this year is about the President and nothing in that debate made me doubt Biden's ability to perform as President. This is why there is an "administration" and "aides" etc. as well. If you are ok voting for a guy who didn't accept the last election, tried to stop the peaceful transfer of power and literally tried to undermine our democracy, vote for Trump, have at it. I'll still be voting for the guy who won't obliterate our democracy and won't literally allow our country to turn into a right-wing Chrisitan theocracy.

The Democrat Party is very concerned about Joe. Following the debate, last night, basically every network and show that leans Democrat was essentially throwing in the towel. Both on Joe himself being fit for the job, their hopes of a win in November, and most importantly the loss of "party ticket" voters. These debates aren't usually about convincing members of either party to switch their allegiance, rather about swaying the folks who are not party aligned and are looking to be convinced of which is the better choice each election cycle.
Now begins the serious discussion, within the party, of whether or not the party nominates someone other than Joe. It is a tough position to be in because they know this is going to cost them party ticket votes but they don't know how many yet.
Polls after the debate showed Trump jumped way ahead, alluding to a blowout in November. It would be unlikely that another candidate would have a chance against Trump either, so the real choice is whether they think it is worth making a change in the hope that someone else, while not being able to win, would perform better to a point that the election won't be a landslide loss.
Because so many people vote the "party ticket", checking a single box for a party and having all the official party nominees get the vote rather than voting line by line for each person, it becomes dangerous for other Democrats on the ticket to have the person at the top of the ticket, Joe, be so unelectable. They have to figure out how damaging he could be in causing people to not vote the party ticket, instead going line by line. That is proven to lead to votes that might have been "automatic", for their other nominees, becoming lost to other parties.
The candidates for other offices that are lower on the ticket not getting those "automatic" votes can have a huge impact to the party over the long term.

It's not just Biden's age, people need to remember and understand the man has had 2 (two) brain aneurysms which required surgery. In February 1988. Biden felt a sharp, stabbing pain at the back of his neck and (per his own autobiography) lay unconscious on the floor for five hours after it occurred. The next day, he went into a Delaware hospital for testing and was quickly rushed to Walter Reed Army Medical Center where he underwent a 6 hour surgical procedure to fix an aneurysm that had begun leaking at the base of his brain. In May of 1988, Biden underwent a second operation to repair another aneurysm on the opposite side of his brain. Throughout his term Joe Biden has shown signs of multiple TIAs (trans ischemic attacks) which usually last a few minutes. Most symptoms disappear within an hour. Rarely, symptoms may last up to 24 hours.
The symptoms of a TIA are similar to those found early in a stroke. Symptoms happen suddenly and may include:
    a) Weakness, numbness or paralysis in the face, arm or leg, typically on one side.
    b) Slurred speech or trouble understanding others.

Bear in mind when agreeing to do this debate, Biden selected the questions that would be asked, where it would be held, who would be the moderators, that there would be no audience, that the mics would be muted unless you were the one being allowed to speak, that there would be 2 commercial breaks in th edebate and several other things. He then took a week off that he spent at Camp David, where presumedly he would have been coached over and over again on his answers. Trump agreed to Biden's requests but asked for drug tests for each of them, right before beginning the debate, which Biden refused just as he has refused cognitive tests in the past. Draw your own conclusions on that. Here's the deal, Biden is the Sitting President and it would be very difficult to step over him and really there is nobody with a decent track record that the Democrats could present. Newsome could be a candidate if California was not now a third world country and anyone else has the same issues. At this point, Biden owns the votes at the Democratic National Convention because the people voted for him in the Primary Elections in their states. Also, it is way too late in the game to switch because it would alienate those voters who remain loyal to him and also overstep those who voted for him. I think the smartest thing to do is just keep Biden out of the public eye and stumble on to the election. If he is elected again, it will be as it has been for this term, Biden will not be in charge and has not been in charge. I am not certain who the puppet masters are but Biden is definitely the puppet. Even if Biden drops out, that would mean that Kamala Harris would be the next in line and she has a worse public approval rating that even Biden. A Trump presidency doesn't scare me, we have seen it before and it was no disaster for the US and as a matter of fact, things were much better than they are today. Trump can only server 4 more years so that also makes it easier to take. He is a mouthy guy and I don't like that about him but as a businessman running the country, he did a good job particularly when you consider that the Democrats were on a witch hunt trying to take him down and every possible moment with lies and innuendo and also him and the country having to deal with the whole Covid mess. My vote is still undecided but one thing for sure, it won't be for Biden, he is not capable and he is an embarrassment. It sickens me that his family allows him to be humiliated in this way it is absolutely abusive.

The infamous Roe v Wade ruling in 1973 stated that abortions could be performed _at any time_ if a mother's “health” was endangered. The word “health” was defined that same day in another SCOTUS ruling known as Doe v. Bolton. In that ruling, the word "health" was defined as-
"The medical judgment may be exercised in the light of all factors - physical, emotional, psychological, familial, and the woman's age - relevant to the well-being of the patient. All these factors may relate to health."
That is basically code for abortion-on-demand.
Several US states and the District of Columbia don't even use the “mental health” pretense. They simply make totally unrestricted abortion, including the gender-selection abortions of pain-capable babies, legal throughout the entire pregnancy.
The heavily pro-abortion media in the this country never calls these areas of the US out for their extremism in regards to abortion!

Presidential Debates tend to only be relevant for independent voters (like myself), not people who have already made up their mind who they are voting and refuse to change their mind. Any Biden voter is not going to change his mind from this, and any Trump voter is likewise not going to change their mind from this. The debate is for people in the middle to see how the candidates would perform in a face-to-face confrontation since we expect our President to negotiate fiercely and stubbornly on behalf of our nation in foreign affairs to make sure the taxpayer is not getting raw deals. Honestly, the President hardly matters as it pertains to domestic policy, that's Congress's job. I tend to view the President's job as being overwhelmingly more foreign-policy-focused as the single person who represents the nation, the person who meets with other heads of state, the touchpoint for allies experiencing existential threats, the commander-in-chief of our military, and the person our allies have to have a rapport with if they want access to US capital markets and economy. I think Americans put way too much effort into the President and not enough into their Congressional representatives, which is a shame and is why we have geriatrics in Congress who can't seem to step down and make these two candidates seem youthful.
Also, it's funny because the US used to make fun of the USSR for having very elderly leadership. The US used to take pride in having younger leaders than our adversaries for much of the 20th century. I always think about that old picture of US leadership meeting with the last Chinese dynasty and all the Chinese leaders were raisins and the American leadership/diplomats looked straight out of high school.

You shouldn't even used that word jokingly while being a presidential candidate of these United States of America.

    • @pd-ou1tg

@@beaujac311 Empty platitudes mean nothing to me regardless of which party it came from, especially something as empty as saving democracy, MAGA, or whatever feel-good reason you're voting for a particular candidate. Besides, there is no "being a democracy" when a country is explicitly a constitutional republic. Please cite me the provision of the US Constitution that states otherwise. You can refer to Article IV, section 4 of the US Constitution if you need a direct citation from our foundational document describing exactly what form of government the country is supposed to have. This is so easily verifiable; I don't know why people keep pushing this as if it can't be verified within 2 seconds.
Moreover, you totally missed the point that the President is an underpowered institution in the US by design. The country will continue to operate regardless of who is sitting in that office due to how its influence on domestic policy is so limited. Focus around the President is merely a distraction when Congress is the body that actually controls federal domestic policy. It's the rest of the world that needs to be concerned about who's President, not Americans. Americans should look inward and learn who their representatives are and hold them accountable for their decisions rather than keeping them as career congressmen/women who make millions in picking stocks and doing nothing materially beneficial for anyone. Almost none of that campaign spending goes down the ballot. The President is secondary to me. Quite frankly, I think you're being overdramatic. Not good if you want independent voters to side with you. I can't stand Biden or Trump voters sometimes...
Lastly, I know the full context of the quote you're talking about and that's not what I took from it, but reasonable minds can disagree. Can't happen regardless. 🤷🏻‍♂

I feel for Americans it doesn't matter who wins they lose it's more about who's going to embarrass the country less
