On a Thursday night in August of 2023 business owner and pillar of the community Sharif Rahman was attacked outside of his Owen Sound, Ontario restaurant. Sadly, Sharif did not survive. Since that night, police have been asking the public to help them to identify three men and a vehicle all linked to the murder. Sharif was attacked on 8/17/2023 between 9 and 9:30PM. There are photos available of suspects #1 and #2. Police have made public a photo of a vehicle linked to the case as well. We will post these images on our social accounts - see below. I live near the area and go into Owen Sound regularly, and have eaten at the restaurant and spoke with Sharif. He was very kind. I keep trying to find any updates on this case, but unfortunately there is none really. I don't know why there is seemingly NOTHING going on to solve this case. Owen Sound gets a lot of tourism, so I don't think these guys are from the area because with it being such a small town, someone would've said something by now. Thank you so much for covering it.
I’m sure you’ve heard, but there’s been arrests! Police have yet to release anymore info from what I’ve found tho.

Why no one considers the possibility that the perpetrators where from the people selling protection to this establishment.
Why isn’t there cctv footage of them coming into the area? There has to be other images?

I agree with you guys. Guys not local, planned ahead to not pay. Racist likely. Also you said it looked like they had been at the gym. So I googled whether there is military training in Owen Sound, Ont. Well look at below. That same week, there were hundreds of Reservists in training at Meaford, Ont. Meaford is just over 17 miles from Owen Sound. In any article I look at about this case, the below aspect is never mentioned.
Can one of you guys call Detective Jeff Bridgeman to get an update and ensure they are looking at reservists. If they got the picture of them leaving the restaurant, would they not have got pictures entering???!! I do not want to call because I am a woman and would likely be blown off. I would bet a 100 dollar Canadian bill it was 3 of these reservists!!

Don't know if it was mentioned, but the vehicle looks like an early 2000's Ford Escape SUV, fwiw....

I think to know if its a racist attack or not is to ask the surviving nephew - did they say anything remotely racist during the attack? If not, probably not racially motivated, as racists wouldnt be able to stop themselves saying something like that, if yes then highly probable.
im gonna go ahead and say, hate crime. small town, indian fella.... ehhhh. i get that this victim is a wonderful person, but people dont care about that.
when you dine and dash, you dont just say, we arent paying, then walk out casually, apparently lingering in front of the business long enough to be pursued by the owner? no, that's not how ya do it.
the name of the restaurant indicates indian food being served. the murderers, seemed to be waiting for sharif, to come to confront them. so when they are caught you get to say, 'this person started the confrontation'
