“Zweite Weihnachten” [“Second Christmas”] is an annual German Texan tradition here in Fredericksburg, Texas. It includes food, drink, music and fellowship, with traditional baked Stollen and warm Glühwein along with the singing of carols in both German and English. It is held on the afternoon of December 26 in the sanctuary of the Gillespie County Historical Society, and it is sponsored by the Fredericksburg German Club, the Fredericksburg-Montabaur Sister City Verein, and the Gillespie County Historical Society.
