Hi there, I activated the master cheat code and the one I needed for pokémon leafgreen. Every time the cheat would come to use the game freezes. Is there any way that you could help me?
Hi LeTrunks, have you had success with other cheat codes on other games? If so, you're doing everything correctly. Ive noticed that cheat codes are hit or miss. Some work and some don't unfortunately. I'm not smart enough to figure it out at that level, sorry. :-)
Not sure if you'll see this message, but, I have a question to ask. Would you happen to know if there's a way to add the cheats to a Raspberry Pi 3B+ that isn't connected to any kind of network? I tried simply connecting an ethernet cable to my pi and my computer in hopes that would get it to download cheats, but, every time I do, I get the message "task failed: download cheats. zip" Is there something else I need to do or is there a way to just download the file to my computer and then transfer it to the proper place on the PI itself? Any kind of help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
On my machine, the cheats were included in the retropie application. Are you sure they aren't there? Did you use a pre-existing retropie image or are you building from the ground up?
Andrew Beaver Yea, I'm sure the cheats were not included. When I go to the load cheats option for a game, there's nothing there. It's totally blank. I didn't build anything up. I had a friend put a bunch of games on a microSD card I already had. He's also the one that put my pi together for me. I know there's a way to activate the wi-fi on the board too, but, I don't know how to do that either. I tried watching videos on how, but, they just confused me more.
That's strange because I've discovered that most of them don't work , and to be honest I'm kinda ticked off about it. Is there anyway I can add or update the cheats without a computer ?

Trying to manually enter cheats and can't figure out how to add multiple lines. Can only enter one cheat line per slot.
How do you enable mame cheats ?

Can you please tell me where to find the cheat file to save onto the Pi? Also where in the directory it should go? Thanks
Eddie, the cheat files were included in the retropie application when I downloaded it. I did not need to load them.
No, the cheats are not included and they need to be downloaded with the Online Updater : github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/Cheats

Get the package in retropie setup for lxde, it's a desktop environment. Then you can go into the file explorer and find the cheats
