What amazing freight trains you get over there in the States, and you cetainly can't miss them coming towards those crossings..great video Ervin..5*..Bob
god damn a train! thats what i call a train! the longest train so far i have ever seen was during my army time when we went to Germany (Grafenwörh Training Area) on exercise - 75 wagons full of tanks, APC, IFV and soldiers
I've never seen a BNSF either... ironically, enough, I did see a Union Pacific over the summer near Philadelphia. Since it still exists in small increments around here, this area is a nest for Conrails, but the blue is slowly but surely dying at the hands of NS and CSX...
Once again, your video contains win! It's cool to see all the Portland and Westerns because we don't get them near Philly or New York... do UPs, BNSFs, or even (I'm pressing my luck here) Conrails come here every now and then?
You may be interested to note locos operate in Australia in an almost identical livery to the P & W, down to the logos, no doubt due to current or previous ownership by Genesee & Wyoming. Check out some Aussie action from 'bwDVD'.
I remember watching this around late 2010 early 2011 Nice Catch from 2008
This looks like an amazing crossing! I wish I could go here.
Another one of my old memories.

Yes, they do have some that look very similar.

The only Salem train schedule is for Amtrak nothing for freight.
Hey, how far out of OR have you heard of the PNWR operating? Are they leasing motive power out to any class 1 RR?
yay PDX and Western!
@glockmaster007 It is a BNSF line but now only Portland Westerns are on this line
how come the lights started flashing a few seconds before the bells started to ring on the crossing gate?
I was wondering why the lights flashed but there was no bell at the beginning of the video?
hey any idea who built the lead loco? looks like brookville locomotive works.
All locomotives in the consist are built by Electro Motive Diesel, or more commonly, EMD.
@@overcastrails5587 Yes, I know that (now).
A lot has changed in the last nine years lol. I’m now a conductor for a shortline down here in GA lol

they looks like a very big tank :D
how many cars was that? lol that thing seemed to go on forever.
portland and western train railroad crossing track sound like a ring ding dong
The horn is music!
Seemed like the bells started ringing when the train's horn sounded. Odd.
Thanks
The ditch lights flashing pattern is a little bit off. Sweet video.
These locos look almost exactly the same as Buffalo Pittsburgh RR Locos!
I might get a model of one of those locomotives
Back when I was 2 years, 1 month old
w&p hey ,well in western australia they called arg ,same paint job aswell
@euphoritch Thank you
