I would pick a Costco over the rest but I have to admit that Costco needs to revamp their online site and shopping experience. However, when it comes to quality of products and customer service, I doubt a company owned my Walmart can compete.

I shop at both, for the most part sams club is cheaper. The robots in the sams are usually better then the people who do the cleaning, they will often clean right up to you even if they are pushing dirt and dust, where as the robots won’t. Scan and go is ok, but the app is off and on very buggy. I often go in the line since almost no one goes there now preferring to scan themselves, so it’s usually faster to let them do it, but I only go every 2.5 weeks. Costco I will only go once a month, usually when the in-store buys are going at the same time as member savings, then I will stock up on things I need that our on sale. Overall Costco has better variety while Sams club is cheaper.

BJ's was originally started by the ZAYRE discount department store chain (eventually Zayre sold their department stores to the AMES chain) and the TJ MAXX chain was also created by Zayre! Also, there once was a wholesale club chain called PACE MEMBERSHIP WAREHOUSE which was started by KMART, but that didn't last long, and most of their stores were sold to Sam's Club in 1993! Yes, KMART once sold a failing division to WALMART! There were many locations where Kmart and PACE stores were next door to one another, so it was a bit strange seeing KMART stores with Sam's Club stores next door (after the failure of PACE) since Sam's Club was owned by Walmart, and usually Sam's Club stores are next to Walmart Supercenter stores!

Costco Wholesale Corporation (doing business as Costco Wholesale and also known simply as Costco) is an American multinational corporation which operates a chain of membership-only big-box retail stores (warehouse club).
As of 2022, Costco is the fifth largest retailer in the world, and is the world's largest retailer of choice and prime beef, organic foods, rotisserie chicken, and wine as of 2016.
Costco is ranked #11 on the Fortune 500 rankings of the largest United States corporations by total revenue.
Costco's worldwide headquarters are in Issaquah, Washington, an eastern suburb of Seattle, although its Kirkland Signature house label bears the name of its former location in Kirkland.
The company opened its first warehouse (the chain's term for its retail outlets) in Seattle in 1983.
Through mergers, however, Costco's corporate history dates back to 1976, when its former competitor Price Club was founded in San Diego, California.
As of February 2023, Costco has 848 warehouses worldwide: 584 in the United States, 107 in Canada, 40 in Mexico, 31 in Japan, 29 in the United Kingdom, 18 in Korea, 14 in Taiwan, 14 in Australia, four in Spain, two each in France and China, and one each in Iceland, New Zealand and Sweden.
