I assume they have different procedures to ensure the food is made and packed in a way that is conducive for delivery or takeout. Primark is a terrific company with an innate understanding of who its customer is. It was originally an Irish company. The business model was a husband, wife with 4 kids to house, feed, clothe & put through college. Although its quality is not top notch, its prices are very competitive. Its buyers are very canny as the company offers some great designer dupes & is fashion forward. It endeared itself to the British public because it took no taxpayer cash during lockdown but continued to pay the staff itself full pay for having to stay at home.
Primark (Penney's, as I know it) is one of those businesses I don't like, but I'm still very impressed by. They started from pretty humble beginnings with 1 store on Mary Street in Dublin city centre, and while they've watched many shops on Mary Street change hands since 1969, Penneys has remained the entire time, evolving with the times, not trying to be a historic monument. They've just continuously made the right moves to keep themselves in the public sphere and reinventing their image when things haven't worked for them. A lot of businesses have failed where Primark succeeded, it could have just as easily been them, but they've clearly had the right people steering the ship to be in such a strong position when a lot of other retailers in their space are struggling.
Spirit stores can be yearound store - do New Year day parties in store, Valentines, Easter, Spring fest, july 4th pariotic month, Summer picnic fest, haloween, thanksgiving, xmas. It can be almost year round. It should be the place to be for seasonal festivities year round.
I'm from Germany so therefore I know Aldi and Trade Joe's. However I somehow got the impression that Trader Joe's is seen as expensive in the US. It always seems like a special occasion going to TJ in videos. Or am I confusing it with another store chain?🤔
True- maybe because of the size? The building and its items are sold in practical convenient size, whereas in "normal US grocery stores" everything is almost huge in size and has different options.
Chipotle separate make lines dint exist as far as I've seen. I've been to maybe 5 locations where I'm in line behind 5 online orders that somehow take priority over in person customers. Not to mention how quality has fallen off a cliff.
The old chipotle strategy was charge people a fair price for a pretty darn good product with a good coutilization of ingredients. The new strategy is to give people HALF the amount they used to give. My last two bowls were literally only half full and it seems to be a trend nationwide I understand watching your efficiencies, but being frugal is goodm being cheapazz is bad. They are chasing away customers
Primark also known as Pennys in Ireland it’s homebase had to change its names for obvious reasons. The logical connection to the US was Boston because Boston Irish were already familiar with the brand Pennys
Worked at TJ Maxx for 12 years. Seemed like we did the best during the recession in 2008-09. We'd get some shoppers coming in almost daily cause we'd always be putting out stuff and you can't count on it being there next time you visit. We did not keep a back stock and low level staff had discretion on where to stock each time. Often just shoving it on the shelves. People like the treasure hunt for sure.

I’ve been diligently working, saving and contributing towards financial freedom and early retirement, but the economy so far since the pandemic has eaten away most of my portfolio, what I want to know is this: Do I keep contributing to my portfolio in these unstable markets or do I look into alternative sectors.
Effective personal finance management is more important than the amount of money saved, regardless of whether income is earned through job or investment. Individuals can seek counsel from a certified financial advisor to optimize financial outcomes, who can provide specialized advice and methods to decrease expenses and maximize income.
This is precisely why I like having a portfolio coach guide my day-to-day market decisions: with their extensive knowledge of going long and short at the same time, using risk for its asymmetrical upside and laying it off as a hedge against the inevitable downward turns, their skillset makes it nearly impossible for them to underperform. I've been utilizing a portfolio coach for more than two years, and I've made over $800,000.

Trader Joes has a cult-like customer base that believes they're getting good deals at their store of choice. Value perceived is value received. Realistically however, Trader Joes sells basically what other stores sell but at a higher price. Trader Joes pricing is similar to Albertsons, and what it sells is not unique.
