I will never forget the first time I heard this album. Had the speakers cranked and that opening track just floored me. The whole album slaps so hard! Don Cab redefined music for me, it filled a void in my life that I had no idea was even missing. Viva la Don!
There's some awesome tracks on Punkgasm. The recording is sick in my opinion. I used to blast it while driving around when it first came out in my car and it always sounded so awesome. Each cymbal is perfectly clear, and all of the drums are so clear and pristine. Honestly, it's probably my favorite sounding DC record as far as recording quality. Digital rules, haha.
Now is the time for Don Cab to return. People are very receptive to instrumental bands now (Animals as Leaders and Chon to name a few) and I'd love to see this band back.

Viva la Don!
This is my favorite Don Cab record. I appreciate and understood on that level what you guys were doing. Hope all is well Damon
P.S., PLEASE DO AN AUDIOTREE LIVE SESSION! We need a Don Cab live session, for the history and preservation of math rock!
was a very late bloomer on Don Cab. Punkgasm was their first I owned, and still is my favorite.
Thats great. Some excellent songs on that record !

Doesn't he ever change his outfit. Jokes aside, he's the greatest drummer ever... At least, the most innovative I've ever listened to
I imagine the interviews were all done on the same day but I agree with you that he’s an amazingly good drummer
Damon yo you have any advice for young bands
Bulk Eye is my favorite from this album
hell yeah
oh yeah
Ask him about his cymbals. Doesn't he play some Sabian B8 sewer cap? The guy is a phenomenal player.
Punkgasm got some of the worst press at the time, I loved that album and it had some great moments! bulk eye was a personal favourite
