@@oladeebiazazi4538 lol...I'm in my 50's. My ex-husband graduated from Prosper in the early 80's when their population was 600 people and K-12 in one small school. He had 12 people in his graduating class. We've seen a lot of change and you will too by the time you're my age...and it comes faster than you think!
@ I was just having some fun with you lol but yea you’re right, I’m in my late twenties and I grew up in Irving and Arlington and in the early 2000 nobody lived north of Plano.
Pretty rich for them to think people will still go back to the office even if you made it only 10 feet from home. The point is it gives true freedom and productivity to go straight from bed to desk and then the moment you're done the laptop closes and that's it. I get the attractions they are building around there and that's cool and all but they really should be planning on things with remote friendly options in mind instead of buying and building real estate only mean to to benefit the owners instead of the employees. The laws needs to change and benefit those who work remotely because if the tax breaks go to those who work from hom then we don't need to constantly build all of these commercial buildings for no reason. Lobby for that, that makes sense.
Not all jobs make sense to be remote - especially with creative teamwork. I wouldn't mind going in to office if it's walkable. That's what I did in Seattle and it kept me in shape. With self-driving cars in the future, commutes won't be as painful either.
On Universal Kids resort - people need to have the right expectations. It’s going to be FAR more like Peppa pig world than Universal Orlando. Strictly a kids resort focused on play areas and meet and greets. Not flagship rides (in fact no dark rides at all based on permits). It will be a fun time and good addition, but I fear many people are going to be expecting Orlando and will be shocked and angry.
It doesn’t matter how nice the area is, work from home is better. Also, many employers didn’t raise wages much during covid, but employees accepted it because of work from home. So to make RTO work, pay must go up. It doesn’t matter to me if there is a fancy restaurant next to the office, that costs money. Pay me more.
Or…instead of spending billions of dollars on work space…let me work from home for a fraction of that. I’ll take, let’s say, $1 million. Boom. Youre welcome
Expanding highways is not the answer to decrease traffic congestion. Public transit needs to be expanded. Perhaps a light rail.
Remembers when Frisco's population was less than 3,000 people and farmland. Things change quickly.
You must be a older person because I definitely don’t remember that lol

@@oladeebiazazi4538 No worries. I wasn't offended and laughed when I read your post.
mixed use development is the golden opportunity for some rail
Welp, Texas isn't friendly with public transit.
Exactly! We have to figure out some way to get the homeless people from Dallas up there.
Awesome update! We have covered these quite extensively on our channel!

I hope Californians don’t turn frisco into San Francisco 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Lived there a beautiful area 😊
Sounds like a bubble getting ready to burst.
what kind of tax breaks did they get?
allofum
Probably a nice one, but how much tax will they generate for the city? More than the break they received long term...
Everything is bigger in Texas...
Who works at the star and can afford an apparat entertainment there too?
Those people live in Aubrey and Little Elm
How do you get to it if you don't have the money to take the toll?
they don't want broke people there.

get some public transportation in the mix!
Sadly the main issue with public transportation is it often attracts crowds people don’t want.
Texas will not have that problem
Public transport in Texas? Not gonna happen
