If your hair after bleaching is an orange tone, you use wella T14 (blue base). If your hair is more of a yellow tone after bleaching, use wella T18 (purple/violet base). If you put T14 on yellow hair, it will turn slightly green.
Don’t worry the strong toning will fade. It is a permanent toning color but even permanent color doesn’t last forever. Couple washes in and it should be a more beige blonde shade.
Kari, I had the same thought after toning my hair w/ Sally's Generic T14 yesterday. When my hair was wet, I was thinking... idk about this??? However, after I dried & styled it, I must say I love the result. My hair is naturally very light brown, so anytime I lighten it always pulls orange & I HATE it!!! I have used more blue & purple shampoo's than I can count. Tried blue food coloring in my haircolor mix, blue Manic Panic, platinum/silver Clenditioner & nothing has toned my hair as well as this. So glad I tried it since T18 didn't really have any effect in toning down my orange. Your hair looks great!
For toning to a cool blonde, would have been better to use T11 with a pinch of 050. This wold have made it a a cool light beige blonde. Or to enhance the silver, apply T18 plus 050 over what you have. Apply to the back and mid shaft first as those spots are most resistant
@@BiancaTaylorYT so if I add 050 to t18 would it get rid of yellow tone hair? Should I use t14 and a dash of 050 to get a ash blonde but not to silver. Which one gives that ash blonde summer look. Currently my hair is yellow
i really like it and think it suits you, wish i could get my hair this light, it always ends up staying at a strawberry blonde no matter how much i bleach/tone :(
Thank you ☺️ it’s a process. When I started my blonde journey, I had black hair. Dyed it brown, then waited a month and went lighter. I was in the orange stage. I toned it and it was like a peachy color, kinda coral. Another month passed and I dyed it again and toned with Wella T27.
@@complexkari no worries! :) I've just lifted mine from black in the past week and now at a strawberry blonde again so I'm hoping this time around i can get it to a nice ash blonde before i give up and dye it black again! I'll take a look at T27, thank you :)
@@thehubcycleworkshop6889 I used T27 because my hair was a bright yellow that needed to be toned 😅 the next month, I dyed it again and I was able to use t11 toner since it was finally light enough
I have that fear of running out of product when I’m doing my hair. I think I could do only 1 box of toner but I really coat my hair making sure I don’t miss a spot which is why I use 2 boxes.
Why is everyone all of a sudden using T14? Damn now everyone is going to have T14 hair - I don't want to look like everyone else lol I've been using T14 for the past 7 years and people are only just clicking on to how much nicer it is than T18 F this I'm going to start using T11 because I don't want to have the same shade of blonde as every other lady that colors there hair blonde lololol 🤣🤣🤣

omg my hair's yellow not orange and i was wondering why my hair looked green after t14 LOL
@@j4ne yes!! That’s why!
I love how you recorded using different kinds of toners for us, thanks!!!
Thank you for making such an informational video! Short and sweet, its perfect.
Thank you ☺️ I’m happy my video helped
I wish your video pops-up on Brad Mondo's recommendation. Your job was satisfyingly clean and amazing!
Thank you ☺️

Yellow hair look good
Turned out beautifully
Looks awesome! I'm getting ready to do mine with T 14.
It's beautiful!
It looks amazing on you!
I love this!!!!! It looks beautiful on you! I’m doing this soon!
Your hair is goals
Thank you for going outside
Trying to be helpful because it might look nice indoors but it looks different when you step outside. Lighting has a lot to do with it.
Complex Kari yup I agree and also bloggers use a lot of filters so you can see the color
Looks very pretty!! Atleast it’s not brassy…greys and silvers are in right now!! I really like it ❤
I love it!
I like how it turned out
Looks amazing! Your just not used to it!
Looks good !!!!!

Thank you! Eventually T14 grew on me and I did like it.
It looks really great on you !
Thank you ☺️
Good, even application!
you are really a nice looking person! ❤️
Looks good.

omg your kitty playing with the hair tie in the background is so cute!!! my kitten does that all the time xD
My cat is obsessed with hair ties. We moved our refrigerator away from the wall the other day and there were like 11 black hair ties under it
Girl it looks amaz6
You are so adorable! I love this it looks great on you
Thank you ☺️
That’s okay it will faded out. I think you needed T18 but I’m not a professional.
I like! 😍
It looks nice
use the t18 for more of a blond not a greyish look
Thanks I've been searching for that advice I've never done my own hair before..!
Whenever i use t18 it takes on more of a grey/silvery violet on my hair
@@susanr6850 do u use purple shampoo it could be that
Girl, it looks SO good!! I ended up on your video because I’m about to apply it! How did you end up feeling about it after a few washes??
Free Spirit Christina I still liked how it looked. I like the silver/gray look.

Thank you. I was thinking of adding a little bit of 050 but I wanted to see the results of T14 just by itself. I’ll try it out next time.
What is a 050 please??
@@rhondalandrum7646 it's a violet additive you can add to wella toners to make the outcome more ash/silvery (violet cancels out yellow tones)
@@BiancaTaylorYT ok thanks

Maybe do a root smudge- will be beautiful! Looks nice :)
Omgosh girl you’re too funny. I like your style and your face tells sooo much more than you’re saying. Looks really good tho to be honest
So helpful
You should use wella t18 for a white platinum look.
That’s the next toner I’m going to use😄 I’m nervous but excited.
If i would like Ash grey which one should i use😘
👌

Looks lovily, may I ask what is your natural hair colour?
My natural hair is dark brown close to black.
Would look amazing with dark based smude root
It toned it very well! Better than yellow lol how long did you leave the bleach on for?
I applied bleach twice. First time 45mins and second time 35mins.
To cover up extreme brassiness should you leave it on the full 20
One time or tow time?
It has quite a tinge of green.
I'm curious how it looked after a couple of washes.
It faded out and then I moved on to color 😅 I’m constantly changing it
Mine fade out but didnt look good
Olá que pena que esse produto não tem aqui no Brasil 😔😔
Couple of shampoos and it will be perfect
Yes you’re right 😃 I liked it better 😄
Next time you bleach, don't leave it on so long, leave it more orange then the toner will not be so gray. You look great anyways!!!
Now, I'm wondering if one box of T14 toner is enough... My hair is a bit longer than yours.

Where did u buy wella toners
Sally Beauty Supply 😄
