How To Cook That hey
hi Sohair
cool cool
How To Cook That cheff hat cake plzzzz
epic video again ann
I love the fact that Ann includes the unsuccessful attempts and experiments in the videos. Most people dont but its really important for people to see that even experts dont get it right 100% of the time
That's what we call quality content creator.

I was just thinking the same thing. UA-cam creators please don’t be afraid to show us your fails, I know you might be afraid we won’t value your expertise if you show your mistakes, but everyone is human and by showing your fails you help us problem solve when we inevitably fail ourselves.
This shows that she´s legit from a science background cause experiments and failures are part of the process.
The older toys were way better, I remember getting excited to build them and they were so intricate and interesting
I completely agree. I miss them.
Oh yeah, my memories are coming back because of that toy car.. :)
justanothercontentconsumer right!! They really downgraded 😭
Now they just fall apart in 2 seconds or you cant get em together.
@@BillyLeeGoodman I mean like not really
But now they are like 2 piece figurines
I'm blown away by this channel, having just found it yesterday. The marriage of science, engineering, cooking, journalism, photoediting involved in each thing she does is mind boggling. This is dream content. Holy cow.
Also the evidently healthy relationships she has with her family is just so refreshing!
Don't forget her detective skills
It’s amazing and so refreshing ❤️🤍 I’ve been following Ann since I was 11 and now I just turned 20. I didn’t even realize all these qualities until I saw your comment ❣️
And family ❤️
This was so cute! I'm 20 this year so I remember the kinder surprises from the early 2000s were so much better than the new ones, it's almost like they think kids prefer to just get the toy and play rather than spending time building them, which was always my favourite part.
Same here, I'm 20 next month and seeing these kind of things really takes me back. The toys you had to figure out how to put together were usually the most fun
more like its cheeper
Imply Doods that may be true, but kinder surpises used to be cheaper to buy as well. They’ve upped the price and removed the quality/fun
@@TheChipy00 thats what most companys do look at chip/crisp packets they get smaller all the time and more excpencive same with other things like candy or bread loafs companys all ways slowly makeing stuff smaller and cheeper but if you go back something like 20 years its super easy to notice the dip in quality and the price increse
@@ImplyDoods That is after everything has been plus sized for very long.
Nowadays companies, here Kinder, seem to think children are too stupid to put more than two pieces of a toy toghether... It's a little sad
I think it comes down to this:
$$$
Actually its attempts to reduce choking hazards thats why they are also banned in several countries - including the USA
@@MangindDerous old natural selection so good...
Children are more stupid nowadays lol.
@@MangindDerous Actually that's false. They are illegal(usa) because of a technicality for other items, not choking hazard. Thats a myth
Jedd saying “safety first!” then putting a “helmet” on the toy omg my heart
Same
He's adoadorable
I cried :')
He's so sweet
The older toys win every time!
Yes. The only thing that is better with the new toys is better quality plastic. The design is boring though.
I also really think kinder missed an opportunity with the minions. The yellow plastic container IS practically a complete minion.
Why not just have a couple of holes in that, and then put some arms, legs and other things inside, so you can make the container into a minion?!!
I remember when the surprise toy it was a Puzzle T.T
Shedonista Shamanatrix maybe not always
I like the old toys
@@fashioneesa3631 not always but definitely applies to this video 👋
i just realized that the yellow capsule is actually supposed to mimic an egg yolk-
whaat! i didn’t know that!
@@sleepybearzzz8846 ikr
WHAT???!!!??
@HayS 65 for the egg whites!
@HayS 65 yes
I would have used my head to smash it open. Protecting my head with a bike helmet first, of course. I'm crazy, not stupid.
Jacky Anderson safety first!
I woukd just start biting in to open it i literally want to taste that chocolate so bad
Oh... I didn’t use a helmet
me and my brother said "stab it" at the same time in that part X'D
I would lick it first to make it melt a little then break it
When I lived in Germany I LOVED getting Kinder eggs. I would always break them in half, then break one half into smaller pieces and eat the pieces from smallest to largest, leading up to the other, unbroken half
sounds satisfying

I would like to like this comment but just want to keep it 666
I'm a 90s kid and I totally agree with you and Jed! The Kinder toys back then were a lot better. My little cousin still gets Kinder eggs sometimes, but I find the toys rather disappointing compared to what I used to get in them when I was a child. I think it has a lot to do with safety regulations for children though. More tiny parts are easier to swallow...
But you're not supposed to give a Kinder Surprise to a child under three years in the first place. The old "yolks" were also better for making "baking powder bombs", since they didn't have that weak point that the new ones have at the hinge.
@@ragnkja oh I did those too! we used to try to balance the force of the explosion so it wouldn't pop on it's own and then leave it on the sidewalk. Then we hid and waited for someone to kick it or sth and then it exploded! great fun
I’m glad you pointed out the child safety. I was thinking it was just a way to keep costs down.
You and your husband have done an excellent job raising those boys. They are very polite and intelligent individuals. It's so sweet to watch you with your family. It brings a much needed smile to my face.
'wait, no! safety first!' cracked me up 😂
I definitely prefer the old toys! I have so many memories of my family getting kinder eggs as a treat and sitting around the living room and making the toys inside and comparing them, and while I am glad kinder eggs are still around the toys aren't really that fun any more. Part of the joy and fun about the kinder egg was the challenge of putting the toy together and it's just not there anymore.
i totally agree
I agree and I"m not in the camp of everything was better in the past. The kinder toys though definitely were.
I used to buy them just for the toys, didn't like the chocolate. So it is sad they've become pretty boring
What can I say, except that it is perfect👼👼👼
sweet
Your son is so cute and sweet 😭 Seeing mom & son together was even sweeter.
I appreciate all the hard work you put into the giant kinder egg. So glad it turned out "smashingly" (lol sorry, couldn't resist the pun). Great video 😊

Yes i remember he was so small back then he has grown up preety fst plz do more videos with him and i luv it when he said safety first and put the cap on
Aging process.
We liked the old ones better! Great vid well done with all! 👍🏻😄
Ann- ok, we're not going to eat the old chocolate
Him, halfway through eating one- what?
The one he’s eating is the new one...
Chill, they didnt eat the old ones
Its a joke guys, don't worry I know
I am seeing your videos now, Ann. It feel good to see real and relevant content these days.
For kinder surprise, i vividly remember getting a real surprise from these kinder surprise. I still have those mini wooden trains, The Flintstones toys, etc. They were good part of my childhood. I miss those days :(
وبدعخةس
I enjoyed older toys better. Nowadays done toys don't need any building at all, which I thought was unfortunate. I liked being able to build my toy. I also once got a mouse made of wood slices on a rope so although it was already assembled, it was still a nice sensory toy with which you could experiment.
Gamyeon
Althogh I did like a newer one that had a character, paintbrush and a paint palette 🎨.
Gamyeon sometimes you have to accept life
That was 2 decades ago
Proof that stuff gets cheeper over the years. Its so sad.
Yeah but stuff costs so much more so it makes sense.
lol lookin for! nvn💩💩😱😰
but its relative so if your thinking is correct then in 50 years time kinder couldnt afford to even make the egg and that doesnt make sense. More emphasis on profit these days so companies are tighter with materials, just greed
Its not that it gets cheaper children are lazier. Most dont want to take time to build it. Quicker is better with most kids.
@@kristaj428 kinder eggs were made illegal (at least in the US) because unsupervised kids (especially those who were probably too young to even have kinder egg toys) were eating/choking on the very small parts of the toys. it's not the kids' fault the toys are simpler with bigger or no assembled parts... clearly kids would be happy with the cooler old toys even if it took 45 more seconds to put them together. the new toys just seem like worthless bits of plastic getting in the way of eating the chocolate...
I love how you are so honest channel and you don’t cut out the mistakes. It makes it so interesting and good to watch!
When I was a kid, we used to save the kinder egg containers and use them to make little baking soda explosions to throw at things; you can't do that if they're not in two parts, they won't burst properly. ...that's probably why they stopped having them in two parts...
The older toys were much more fun to build and to play with, but I guess they had to stop it due to its tiny particles(to prevent from choking).
They're already labelled with an age recommendation (3+).
I think if everyone is honest, the change is profit driven. The tooling to make some of the older toys would have been serious investments of money, and in this day and age shareholders won't stand for that.
Really they are riding off the reputation the Kinder Surprise built up when we were children, knowing that we will buy them, and today's children won't have much to compare them to. We all know things are better in the 70s, 80s and even 90s, but that won't stop children now wanting them.
Shame Ferrero let it go downhill.
My favorite part was seeing you and your son bond ❤
💕
LOVE THIS Ann ... you went above and beyond again ... not just making a cool recipe video but you & Jedd incorporated a super cute toy comparison element too!! so cool

OMG! Your kid is sooo cute! "safety first! Safety first!"
We had a few old kinder toys until a couple of years ago when my father lost when he moved... We had the complete collection of gnomes, a couple of tigers and some others... They were one piece toys, and Idk the material, but it feels like ceramic or something hard and glass-y...
Oh I loved kinder eggs! We didn't have much money so we weren't used to have a lot of dessert/candy/stuff like that, non essencial, but the eggs weren't that expensive and was always fun to guess whatwas inside!
(now they cost around R$8-10, super expensive for what they are and the toulys aren't so nice)
That happens with McDonald's too, the old toys with the happy meals were amazing.
Ultramendoza OH MY GOSH I remember those ! I forgot about them tbh xd wow ... ahhh memories
Ultramendoza LIKE THE LPS
Ultramendoza I agree!
McDonald's still has some good toys. My daughter just got mini hungry hungry hippos like game but with rabbits in her happy meal.
7:14 my mom would’ve yelled at me and make me clean up the whole house if I did that
Me too
But it's still hilarious

WOWEEEEEE! Those old kinder surprises are so much better than today's ones Ann!!
I agree, thanks for watching every week chew bacca 😀
That is amazing, nice done! 👏 And I actualy remember I had that pink car when I was little. 😀 I loved this old toys so much! 💜
Haha, I found that exact pink car in one of the Kinder Eggs when I was a kid! I feel so nostalgic now.
Ah I really miss my childhood when kinder surprise eggs and McDonald's kid meals had really good toys now 😢 what a wonderful video! 💘
The old one is the best toys, thank you for sharing your amazing video
I love the old ones. The camera was so adorable
Such a lovely bit of video opening Kinder eggs.
On a side note. Love the teal nail varnish.
I remember a time when there were little tin figures in the eggs. Ok that sounds like I was born in the middle age...
ohgosh frogs and hippos
I was in Germany back in 2000. One of the sets in the eggs were these little tin figures from a medieval set - King, Queen, Knight, Monk, and a couple of others. I collected enough of them to make a chess set and painted the details with acrylics to have a white and a black set. Lost them in the move back to the states. I was so upset.
same. i remember getting so many of those figures, i had my little ponys, fairys, flower girl things and lots of other figures from kinder eggs lol. but over time it got more plain toys
I remember always wanting the frogs - they were peak ‘collectible’
Ooooh i remember the penguines (my favorite was the flapper dress one), dinos, hippos and crocodiles!
Hey Ann!
I'm Kia from Germany. You inspire me SO SO MUCH. I hope that you had a great week ☺️❤️
hi Kia g'day from Australia
Kia Potato
I feel so olddd I used to buy those every day and the surprises were amazing, but now you don’t even have to build them, they’re already made...
Here I am in the year 2021, finding this video and grinning from ear to ear, heart all full of warm fuzzies.... Thank you Ann Reardon for being who you are, for all the wonderful things and positive energy you generously share with the world, for showing what a loving wife and mother looks like, for the incredibly hard work behind the scenes. I appreciate you so much and I'm so glad I found you! You have given me hours of joy during a difficult time.
I wasn't expecting to recognize any of the toys, but I actually did have one of those pink cars when I was a child.
I like the older ones better. They actually require the kids to use their mental capacity more in building and constructing since there were more pieces. It seems the newer ones are made for quick and easy usage instead of actually stimulating the brain or creative part of a child's mind.
yes they were very cool in the old days 😀
Compass
The old ones make me think, the new ones make me feel dumb.
What a sweet kid!
Just watching this video in March 2021 and Anne I love how down too earth you are, not many ppl on UA-cam show their mistakes and you are so soft spoken. Also that kinder egg is a child's dream lol
Safety First! How adorable!!! What an incredible amount of energy for an incredible bit family fun with you child! 🥰🥰🥰
20 years old toys are slayin:-P
That was really awesome ann
this is SO MUCH Fun ... well done Jedd & Ann!
She will be the best Nan ever she will be feeding all the grandkids loads of loverly food.
I love the look of horror and regret when Ann broke the egg on the table. She's such a fun mom though. She knows it's a mess but she's so sweet to Jed and the mess doesn't even bother her.
That’s so cool!!!
The older toys were better because now a days is mostly technology
Guerda Cadichon Actually, a lot of it was complaints about the small pieces being a choking hazard... They also figured it might be more fun if the kids didn't have to spend time putting pieces together (which I always found was most of the fun anyways)
Oh!!
Yeh is right
Guerda Cadichon yes
Yeah cuz minons are the most advance technology of the century
yeah:(
Wow! You are just so creative. I loved the little minion movie of the minion climbing into the bowl and eating the chocolate.. what an amazing little story to add to the video. For me it's the little things you do that make your videos so great. -like taking the time to get the shot of the Flintstones kinder egg video toy. The main video content is great but it's the little extras you throw in that I love the most!! Xx
The camera was most fun, but that Pink var locked awesome! And I completely agree with you Ann, the building was the fun part of them older ones!!! But THE best part is ofc eating the chocolate! 😜💖
I just love his sense of humor, as well as that he recognizes “safety first”!
Fun video!
Omggg the little pink car he had in the second old egg, I had a collection of such cars from Kinder Surprise eggs when I was young 🥺 omg you brought me back a memory I even forgot I had. I had a lot of them, and they came in white, beige, pink, baby blue and mint green. Omg, I actually started to cry when I saw the car now
We ( David Lilach and Micol) really enjoyed the video. Especially all the popping balloons. And we like both types of toys the old ones and the new ones.
You’re whole family is so gorgeous and sweet!! And ur children are sooo cuteee!! ❤️😭😭 I absolutely love your channel Ann ❤️☺️ keep goin at it!!

Best thing I have seen all morning!
I often look at what appears in my child's Kinder eggs and think he would be disappointed as well, if he could compare them to what we got in them as children.
Coolest mother of the year award goes to....

8:39 :
This one has like a hinge on it, what's your one got?
*diffuculty opening a kinder surprise noises*
I can relate so hard to this. I have to literally stand on my kinder surprise to open it lol.
The Great Papyrus I used to put it in my mouth, bite down on the middle, pull on the piece that stuck out, and open them that way. Not pleasant but it did work. x)
I feel like toys have just gone downhill but I mean so has the quality of everyone's childhoods
Maybe its just us feeling nostalgic with our childhoods as any other adult we found boring when we were kids :(
Yrs final most people forget about the white chocolate!

So early!! So cute! Love kinda suprise #ilovehtct
Hi God's Daughter 😀
That really brought me back 20 years. We lived in Italy from 1998-2001. We loved getting kinder eggs and putting together the tiny toys. My favorite was a pea pod that was also a rowboat. The tiny oars were so cute. I didn't know that they were illegal in the US, sent over 100 of them to my mother who taught middle school. The kids all were thrilled to open the eggs and make the toys.
I appreciate that you showed us the numerous trials... Gets us prepared
I tried this out
And it turned out amazing thank you so much my sister loved it
I made it for her birthday ❤💖💖💖
Jed is soo sweet!!😘
6:45 that laugh! Just a little bit mischievous! He is too adorable!
Jed singing the outro song is the best/cutest thing ever!
It's so well crafted that Ann had to smash it to open it.
The sheer astonishment on Jeddy’s face 🥺 almost can’t believe his mum made such a mess, a mix of excitement shock and pure childhood chaos 😂❤️
When I heard 20 year old kinder eggs I thought "wow, they're ancient!" then I saw they're exactly what I remember from my childhood. Whoops.
I will say, it might not be something you even thought about, which is amazing, but I love how you didn't even bat an eye at your son liking the pink car over the other toy. I've grown up in a family where I would've had that sort of thing ripped away for me because it isn't "manly". That small moment really solidifies the fact that kids aren't biased, parents are, and it's biased parents that raise kids to become biased adults. Again, I know it was something small, but it honestly means a lot in this day and age!
No judgement but....why did you have 20 year old chocolate?
Ooh I'm curious too how she obtained the 20 year old kinder surprise eggs! Did she save them all this time? Or are we still able to buy these off of I don't know, those vualt hings that get auctioned off after it's not been payed for. Just making guesses here, I'm pretty curious how she got them :)
When it broke

Old ones are definitely winning! They were more exquisite and mechanically fun. Oh I miss my childhood Kinder!
They can't sell these in the USA. There's a law against food and toys being in the same package like that.
FireMedicChick164 it’s to “protect the children” from the choking hazard that is toys
They do have a type of Kinder eggs in the States but half the egg is candy and the other have has candy. Each side is also sealed up separately.

The little builds were cool, but as a child I collected the figurines. I had some lions, frogs, penguins, and hippos. Those were fun to collect!
We just got within the last two years Kinder Joy eggs in America. They are so fun!
Oh my god I had that little pink car when I was a kid! I loved it. I kept it for ages. I think it's still in my dollhouse garage.
