This is an awesome performance! Thanks for posting and filming this. Seeing her perform solo for the first time in Chicago on Saturday so I was curious what an entire set of hers would be.
Wow. I loved Houndmouth's 2013 album, but never really kept track of them beyond that.Randomly decided to look them up and was sad to see that Katie had parted ways. I'm a lot less bummed after listening to this, and her recent solo album. She's killing it on her own, I hope the world takes notice
@@katietoupin4663 I just stumbled on your music...I have been a songwriter since I was about 14 and dreamed of hearing my songs on the radio. That never happened for a bunch of reasons....mostly because of love and the want to be the best man I could be...a lot of my friends thought I wasted my talent and thought I was the last person to want a family and I should really “try to make it”.It is tiresome playing music that is for other people especially when the only person I wanted to sing for was a girl that was a million miles away. I gave up being in a band and joined the Air Force and made that girl my wife and started a family. Best decision I have ever made. I never stoped writing or playing but I did it on my terms...the best thing about it is I can share my talents with my daughter who plays guitar now...the other day I came home from work and I could hear her playing one of my songs I had written...I never have to hear it on the radio...The point is I’m famous to the people I care about the most and you should never listen to people like Jay...you didn’t throw away your career...you just became your own boss! I wish you the best of what ever you decide success is for you.
@@ryansmith8967 Well said man. Well said. I myself have just recently decided this past year that I want to make music, all this is very new to me, but it is my dream, and I'm already 20 years old. People can have their opinions to be honest, but people like Katie are an inspiration to me, and that is enough.
I could listen to Katie's voice forever. Talking ir singing, she has the best voice i ever done heard. I absolutely adore Katie toupin
Man she has an amazing voice.
I COULD LISTEN TO KATIE SING "THE PHONEBOOK"...I KNOW THAT EXPRESSION "DATES ME" BUT IT'S TRUE...SHE'S AS CUTE AS HER VOCAL TIMBRE!!!!!
I'm shocked she's not on a larger scene yet but will be in due time. Great talent, keep rocking!
I do believe you are absolutely correct. One can see it coming, this woman is unstoppable.
Thank you for hanging in there! Keep showing us your heart!
Go Katie! Love the new music.
My favorite artist
I've been 'binging' since I saw an IG post of yours on Eric Rhodes' (Comedian) feed. Thanks Erica!
Fantastic. Great songs and emotional singing.
Wow that voice could break a heart or make it whole.

Great set. And nice Native Sons strap. ;)
Ohhh, the secrets deep in her heart.
🙏
You are amazing, Katie! Thank you!!
I like that bar but haven't caught a show there yet. Wish I could have made it to this

This band is great, but her voice and songwriting is the main event here. Great stuff.
I hope the world takes notice also......she is genuine and down to earth. World needs more like her.....
After this came Astronaut. Her career is gonna take off faster than a Fast Frieght rocketing thru North Vernon, Indiana.
Everything about her in this performance is abrasive
I like Katie more with houndmouth and houndmouth just isn’t the same without her
"KT and the Mediocrities" :|
She's better here, without her band. Except if it were Houndmouth as her band....
Unbelievable how someone can throw away their career by leaving houndmouth. Cough cough, Katie.....
You don't really know what you're talking about so you should probably stop talking.

You have a beautiful voice Katie and I surely do wish you luck. The people who really know you and Zak and Matt and Shane are happy for all of you.
