Great video and awesome finds. I'm headed to AZ for the winter from my home in Oregon, and I searched for gold in AZ, and this was my first choice of videos and I'm really glad I found it. I know just over zero about metal detecting for gold in AZ, so you showed me a lot. Being my first year if I score just 1 nugget, I'd be stoked

I am with you. Never had a hint of fever when I lived in a hold bearing state. Now I too live in Florida and have been bit! Ugh.

Florida has the treasure beach to metal detect for Spanish gallion gold... many very extremely valuable golden relics have been found there over the years and there's literally tons and tons of REAL treasure laying out there waiting to be found
Yeah, I grew up in Arizona. I don’t know why my dad never decided to go gold prospecting so therefore I didn’t have any grid for it. I moved Oklahoma start watching the outdoor channel gold fever I get fired up I buy a sluice pan classifier metal detectors there’s no gold in Oklahoma.
Go down to the beach. There is a lot to be found.

Not bad at all for prospecting for new areas your windshield time was just as long as your detecting time I reckon lol every time I get to quartzite I spend as much time looking at the geology as I do detecting so many cool structures out there. Winter is settled here, the snow patch and frozen ground made us to stay home for a 5 month straight and watching desert stuff, well as you, jeff william, even gly shorts!
How you decide where you go detect?
Great question! If I’m in a known gold area , I’d start with the bedrock in the gullies. We are usually always just winging it mostly. Then you may come across a spot that has detectable gold.
