The actual pro way to shampoo (the French way) is to use a small 50-70 ml bottle (1.7-2 oz) . You add shampoo in there and dilute it with warm water. Depending on the shampoo consistency, 1:3 to 1:4 shampoo:water ratio. Then you evenly squirt the mixture at the roots. It works especially well for thick hair than can trap a lot of product so it saves you product in the long run. I have super super thick hair and I have to use this method otherwise I will use 2 oz of shampoo every wash.
super nice tip!! i feel like with the gisou shampoo, i either need 3 pumps for my hair, or a double wash before I feel like it cleansed everything! definitely going to try this out :)
Love love love the video, super helpful! Was wondering if you could share the more affordable options for hair primer. I just bought the gisou with the black friday discount but I highly doubt I can keep budgeting it in in the future. Thank you in advance💕
As someone who used this brand but has thinner hair I do have different preferences. Don't get the moisturiser or the conditioner it doesn't live up to other items. The oil and shampoo are amazing. I personally mix my main shampoo with a few drops of their shampoo and get the best results out of that. You really don't need much of it and it helps justify the price point too. I personally decided to buy the hair perfume because I love their smells which is a good substitute for the other sun protection items because it's heat resistant.
@@sl-vu1tu It's good by itself too, but I like to spend extra money on a shampoo that helps strengthen my hair and prevents hair loss. That's why I personally mix it with a pharmacy shampoo. That way you get double the benefit.
thanks for this video! i just came back from selfridges and bought the full size shampoo and conditioner, and i’m debating buying the leave-in conditioner and hair mask. this was really helpful :)
I tried the hair mask at my sister’s place and yes, it’s good, but for thick hair. I have not that thick hair, unfortunately, and the mask took all the volume from them. So, all together, great mask but not for think hair
The way I use oils is I put them through my hair and then sleep with them in for the night and the next day I was it off… it does wonder is for how my hair looks the next day. I think I might be using it wrong though?
I have several options for you: I've personally used Bio Silk for years. It's unscented, has no fragrance, and makes the hair super soft and shiny. It's especially great if you use a lot of tools on your hair, as it battles the damage that those can do. A more affordable option - again, if you don't necessarily want an obvious fragrance - is the Wella SP LuxeOil elixer oil. They have them in a pump and a spray. Use them before or after a wash. Most people who like Gisou prefer the fragrance and thus I have a few options in that range as well: I'm a huge perfume freak, so I have been known to use regular perfume oils in my hair. Of course, I only use the ones that are alcohol free and use a decent base oil. Attars/ perfume oils can smell absolutely delicious, and if the base oil is decent they can even provide hydration and care. NB. Many perfumes have a hairmist variety as well. If you want a specific fragrance they're the way to go. Some also include hair care. If you don't own or want any of those or prefer truly a hair oil focused on care that happens to smell nice, check these: 1. The Lottabody Coconut & Shea Illuminate and Shine Mist. It has a soft coconutty scent and makes the hair shiny & easier to comb through (ideal if I've just curled my hair or forgot to braid it before bed. My hair has gotten very thin due to illness, but it's still long: matt & knot central without a spray conditioner for dry hair!). As you can see from the name, it has a coconut scent. I like it in summer, and it isn't the nasty sunscreen Coconut. However, Lottabody also has a line with a honey scent, and I'll get that one next time (my favourite leave in conditioner spray for wet hair is also honey scented, so they'll match) . Lottabody has plenty of products for the hair, so you will be able to find masks and that stuff too. 2. The other spray I have - and absolutely adore - is a hair oil that's not as cheap as Lottabody but still much much cheaper than Gisou. It's the oil shine mist by Orofluido. I really love the amber-vanilla fragrance this oil has, as it's very elegant and also suits many of my regular winter perfumes. Can be used on wet and dry hair. On wet, it works as a conditioner next to making the hair soft and smell delicious. And it gives shine once dry. On dry hair it's more for shine and scent. Because it's made from dry oil it can be used on all hair types, won't make it greasy, but also doesn't make thin/ fine hair lose its volume. Last, but not least: Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse. To be honest, I've not used this myself YET. But a friend is a huge fan. They have this in a floral fragrance, and the original has a fragrance with a honey accord. Since it's a multipurpose oil, you can also use it as skincare for body and even face (it is a non comedogenic oil, meaning it won't cause breakouts) if you would like to. If you have really dry skin or hair, there is also a rich version (I'm doubting between this rich option or the 'Florale', as all my other hair stuff is already more gourmand oriented). Anyway, if you were still searching, you have plenty of options now. My last tip - in case you don't like any of these or can't get them where you live - is to Google "Alternatives for Gisou products" or something like that. Quite often, online magazines or blogs jump on a hype like this and offer more affordable options, or options with other fragrances/ for other hair types et cetera. Good luck!
You run out of shampoo real fast. It’s hard to spread the product through t the hair. So it’s a no for me. Love the face oil, but also it empties too soon for me.
I know I’m late but I have greasy hair and it’s great for me. I only use a few drops. Do NOT use a full dropper. That’s why people are getting greasy hair. You really don’t need a lot
Please just check the INCI before buying/recommending any cosmetic products. Gisou literally has the worst, backward concept when it comes to ingredients. Tons of microplastic, carcinogenic preservatives, artificial colorants and perfumes... huge NO, especially in the 21century when you have the choice to buy better and with more consciousness.
i've got the hair perfume! it's wonderful and really sticks in your hair. i even spray it on my wrists and neck and it stays on forever. when I'm showering in the evening, I still can smell the perfume on my wrists and hair!
personally i have the hair oil, i really like it a lot but its keeps leakings so badly, because the bottle is glass its becoming quickly greasy. , the hair mask i think i didnt use it correctly so i dont know, the shampoo is very great for my wavy hair but at first wash it was very tangled but then after many wash it became softer- i also have the leave in conditioner this is a must! make your hair so soft, less Tangled and smells so good ! 🎀🩷

Hi 3/1 or 4/1 which one is shampoo ? 1 or 3-4?? 😢
@@sevgikaynak5872more water, less shampoo
Their shampoo is very hydrating! So pre-pooing with this brand is very unnecessary. I can comb their shampoo through my hair.
omg this video is definitely so underrated for the quality and content you provide! thanks gorgeous!!

Why do you mix the shampoo, is it not good if used by itself?

Is it the same smell for all her products?
Most of them
I hated the oil, it did absolutely nothing for my hair.. it just gets greasy and the smell is horrible. What a waste of money
Comprei o óleo por ser tão bem falado,e que era muito leve, mas deixa meu cabelo muito oleoso, mesmo usado muito pouco
Dry horse hair? What is that
Coarse hair lol
