Probably my favorite song from In Contact. One of the sickest breakdowns I've ever heard... "you can be FORCE FED WAR AND SPIT PEACE" *djent intensifies*

I could not have said it better myself!
EXACTLY, my favourite for the same reasons...
Yeah man, this phrase is powerful! So as the melody
My favorite song. Love the individual content from each musician you guys are putting out! Come to USA!
I second this. I hope they can come to the US some time in the near future. I know they are from AU and it is insanely expensive... but we can dream haha
If them and Karnivool put something together and came out here I could die happy.
Apart brom bass :(
0:53 I love how well you transitioned from powerful hits to the quiet part and having the control to hit the cymbal at an appropriate volume instead of whacking it straight from the previous fill!
This is such a fun song. Just the lilting nature, the way it isn't just a straight in-your-face song, and the changing rhythms throughout. It all culminates in something so different from previous tunes, even on the same album, and yet it connects the whole experience so well. This song, and each individual component thereof, is a piece of masterful art.
It really is a great song, probably my favorite from this album.
Despite how heavy this goes, I think the word I would describe this track with is...tasteful. There's plenty of flourishes, but it just fits so damn well, never feels boring without overperforming, and excellent use of dynamics. Brilliant drum part.
Some fucking brilliant writing and playing in this track. Especially the first part of the first verse, a perfect lend of minimalism and pushing out through the guitars to show off the extent of the intrument of the player. Brilliant song, brilliant writing, just brilliant. Love you guys, come back to New Zealand soon!
Frigging awesome!
Caligula's Horse is one of if my my favorite bands.
Awesome groove, feel and syncopated rhythms. Intricate and interesting without being hard to listen to.
A true class act.
Damn, Josh. This is so good! I, for one, would not complain if you made more drum videos from In Contact
More playthoughs please
Agreed!
So clean. The fill leading to the chorus at 3.50 is so perfect in every way. Very inspiring to me as a drummer!
Now I have to go listen to the lead in from Inertia into this song because my mind will not let me sleep before hearing it for the hundredth time. It's sooooo good!!
Tell 'em Ink sent you
This is cool as
fuck
You were stunning in Helsinki, the best live performance I've attended. The only negative feedback I can give is that you didn't play Water's Edge, which is one of my favourites :)
I'd be very happy if more of these drum (or any instrument) playthroughs are released in the future! :)This was awesome, and so was Water's Edge.
What a nice guy
I really like the subtle drum changes in the intro which give a whole dynamic change.
The outro of this song is among the best things that has happened to humanity
God this is beyond words.....stunning, mighty, magnificent, gripping, intense, dramatic.....shivers ALL THE WAY THROUGH 🙏🙏🙏
This, Inertia and Graves make my all-time favorite album closer. Unbelievably good. Perfect playthrough too!
Well he did write it lol
Top notch drumming!
Felt weird to listen to this without hearing Inertia And The Weapon Of The Wall first. In fact, fuck it, I'm listening to it now.
my most favourite drum groove🥰🥰
Damn. What a song. You can carry the song really good I like the way you build the song.
Getting goosebumps every time I am listening to this song. Just breathtaking!
Also, anyone noticed that the moving shot was filmed with a drone..Nice use of camera gear. Well done to the drummer and the filmmaker!
BEAST !

Holy mother merry that was epic
If y'all ever play live in the US specifically Atlanta Georgia I BEG OF YOU. Pleeeeeease play this song in the set. I'd probably be overwhelmed to tears seeing this live (in the best way). My favorite masterpiece from y'all
EPIC \m/
Love this so much... Cant begin to explain how much you guys inspire... You gotta do "Dream The Dead" Drum cover!!
Dude, this is awesome!

Moar drum playthrough videos please Josh 😻😻😻😻
I could watch you play the entire C Horse catalogue all day. I hope you don’t find that creepy
The trance is real
In the last part at 5:05 i can hear an electronic track playing in the background that it's not present on the album's version. That track adds a nice feeling.
It's there, just a tad lower in the final mix maybe.
Is he using open-handed drumming? That seems pretty cool!
Ending breakdown is so fucking dirty
This may seem a little off topic here, but what ride cymbal is that?
Sabian Vault series looks like
Looks like a damaged HHX
