I read that's actually supposed to be a different dinosaur called Therizinosaurs. It's depiction is horribly inaccurate, however. Therizinosaurs wasn't built like a raptor, they downsized it so it could fit in most of the areas in the game it appears in, and to top it all of in real life it was a herbivore.
I really liked the aspect of "thinking" on this game. I wish they'll have a PS3 remake with the same difficulty as Dino Crisis1. I don't care about difficulty as long as the game is intertaining and makes you think a lot. At least this game is not all action, there are parts where you have to read the notes which gives the "Detective" aspect. =D
1:53 SPARTA!!!! Geez that shocked me!!! 3:39 That's probably the dumbest dino of them all. First it lets regina enter the code and let her escape into the the D.I office. Then it let Rick enter unharmed too. Why did it even try to attack them in the first place? 4:17 "it can take a while before i can pop this open" Yeah especially when typing with you palms and not your fingers.
Got to love darts in this game, better the normal guns most times. Dino: *Suprises Regina and roars* Regina: Shut up. *Aims gun and fires a dart* Dino: *Squeals and falls right over* =D To bad they wouldn't work on zombies.
Definitly desearves topspot for ps1, MGS being maybe equal to it. These were the 2 defining games that appeared shortly after the change from 2D to 3D format consoles, dont get me wrong, resi/dino games are awesome but theyll never be in same leauge, only people watching a dinocrisis video would argue about that!
The "new raptor" is supposedly supposed to be deinonychus, a larger relative of velociraptor. They appear in DC2 as "Ultra (note I said 'ultra' and not 'Utah') Raptors" which are the toughest raptors in that game. They only appear in pairs and only after you get like a 20-hit combo in that game. I think they have a similar coloration to the ones in this game, too.

There's a website called 'Emuparadise' and you can download many great PS1 games from there like Final Fantasy 7, Silent Hill 1, Dino Crisis, Xenogears! * Download a PS1 Emulator. * If you have a PS3 controller you can use it as a controller! Go to windows control panel --> Game Devices --> from there you can set-up your PS3 controller to certain buttons on screen.. then make the emulator match it!

I love how the raptor pokes his head out from underneath the metal grating and is able to jump out before the grating hits the floor again, that was amazing for the time it took to do that unless the 3rd energy that was blocking the port path was there and slowed down its gravity. And is it just a coincidence that the T-Rex didn't eat the people who had the card to the exit?
