I really liked the film and I still do.
The worker sees the apparition of a Martian, not a apeman.
I had seen this, as a child, I think perhaps on Creature double feature (on US TV), and it was very scary. It left me wondering more about the aliens, and if war had caused the destruction of their planet (Mars).
Both the series and the movies were scary and very unique. I'd be concerned if they tried to remake it. But it does deserve attention
