Upper Rakaia Winter Adventure

Another great day out with a bunch of great people!
River was low in places but very boatable.
Weather was stunning for a mid winters day.
Another fantastic JBNZ event organised by Joe Daly.

Back in the late 80's I crossed that river in the gorge on my pony. Years later we crossed the Wilber force in our Niva Lada and got stuck, sat on the roof waiting for the local farmer and his tractor to tow us out.
