Winnowing - How to Clean You Seeds

Separating the wheat from the chaff 🌾 Winnowing is an ancient technique that we still use today to prepare our seeds for the Seed Saving Network.
It’s really simple to do. All you need is seeds and some wind!
🌾 Rub seed heads with your fingers to encourage the seeds and chaff to fall off.
🌾 Hold the container of seeds above another container and allow the wind to blow away their lighter chaff.
🌾 Depending on the strength of the wind, hold the container lower or higher.
That’s it! So easy.
