Original ceramic decorations on pagodas were recycled from waste chinaware fragments exquisitely chipped into shapes centuries ago. Sadly they are falling off after years and years in the sun and rain and are being replaced by factory made pieces because people nowadays are not as patient as the ancients.

Bangkok is getting too hot nowadays, I remember of visiting the temple in late January 30 years ago everybody wore a jacket.
