Was on an expedition on iceland a few years ago, one of the trucks in the convoy went through the ice so only the roofrack was visible above water. Driver and passenger made it out ok. Had to wait two days to get the rigs and gear to try and get it out of the water again, which ofc meant that the ice had frozen shut above it and it had gotten colder so the ice was pretty thick. So there we were with chainsaws sawing away at the ice frozen around the roofrack trying not to damage the truck while nervous as heck about the big rig that was gonna pull it out, cuz that was also out on the ice. Long story short, got the sucker out, was fresh water so it'll buff out.

My first and probably worst bog was on a lake near kosciusko national park With no experience in off road driving I was following my mate he was in a Mazda 6 and i was in my patrol Surface seemed dry as we were driving around the lake I felt my patrol loose power and saw my mate stop we got out and realised we were in deep mud Found a few blokes camping came and helped us get out. Promised them a few slabs. The next day we went to the nearest town and delivered two slabs. Shout out to those 2 fellas absolute legends.
A bunch of us went on a 4x4 trip to the high country years ago, came across a single 4x4, turns out it was a guy and his g/f in his 4x4 ute, he had all the recovery gear but no idea how to use it. He was hopelessly bogged and there is no trees to winch off up there, he had the ground anchor out but had unraveled all of the winch rope so none of it remained on the winch drum and his truck had a dead battery so he couldn't start the engine. We came across him trying to dig himself out from the bog.
Hell of a great video. Many years ago I got my 1980 4x4 Bronco stuck in a mud hole. Stepped out of the truck and went half way up to my ass in mud. Took a one ton 4x4 and a great big 4x4 tractor, in unison to pull me out. It was a bit iffy for awhile. Found out later that a D8 Cat used to pull the company trucks through that same hole. It's hard top find those old reliable trucks up here now. I liked and subscribed so I can relive my younger years from this comfortable chair. Cheers, Terry
From someone who's never been offroading before, this has been an awesome movie to watch. Now I think I'm on the lookout for a 4WD to take the family on some adventures.
In south Florida. I was 7 years old. Me and my old man was on his swamp buggy out in the grass swamps and hit a sink whole. The back passenger wheel sunk to the axle. The torque snapped the drive shaft. The buggy now only front wheel drive and nothing to winch to for miles. 4 inches of water, gators, snakes. My old man took out one of the bucket seats and tied a winch to it it and walked it out about 50 foot or so. He stuck it in the soft ground head first like a anchore. We had to reset a bunch. But it eventually worked. I was up on the buggy with the 308. Keeping an eye out for gators. Best memory of my old man.
Great recovery. I remember once in Iceland we had this kind of recovery. The bottom of the sea was fine stones and slippery, so we used the ramps and strapped them fixed onto the wheels, pressed the brakes and let the car slide over the bottom untill it was out. It looked as if it was wearking skies

Me and dad up in Darwin helped his work mate pull out his 75 series Ute and a 78 series troopie out of thigh deep mud flat, with an incoming tide and in prime croc territory. Both had spent the night fully under water and had settled into the mud right down to almost the side steps. We had over 100metres of snatch strap linked together, using a mangrove tree as pulley block and soft sand was the only “solid” ground to snatch off. We managed to pull both out. The 75 drove home and the 78 had to wait on the sand for a tilt tray.
To all of you on the crew, you really touch my heart, and my abs with the laughs, can't get enough of the shenanigans with you bunch 😂😂😂, my next trip I'll be making sure I've got a few spare zip ties 😂😂😂 Brilliant vid fellas ❤️❤️❤️

Worst bog/recovery I ran into was at bribie island, It was about 8pm driving back home with my brotha and some mates when we saw a jeep that got caught in the surf in high tide. Got out to check on the guy first then got to recovering the vehicle. We went to winch it out but the thing was stuck in park alongside the suction of the car in the sand. So we got inside the vehicle to try force the car into neutral. After dealing with that I went to snatch the car to break the suction then my brotha winched it out from there. The bloke was very grateful. Was well over a 2/3 hour rescue to memory but saying that we found him fairly early so maybe the car was recoverable never got that part of the story though.

Crossing the Warren river to find a camp and one of the cars was drawn in! Unfortunately none of us had winches so we were in a bit of a pickle! Tried snatching him out which didn't work for obvious reasons (not even with a double pull), After about a few hours we were lucky enough to have a few 4WDS come across... needed 2 winches to pull him out! everything soaked! Luckily managed to switch out the batteries and drive it up the dunes and home to Perth! This was day 1 of an epic adventure! Love your show!

My best bog was in 1987 at Azusa Canyon California when I wheelied my 1982 Honda Cr125 across the river that was motorcycle deep and went underwater with my bike. I kicked it over for a month after DOING NO REPAIRS (14-year old lad I was) and it ran fine again.
Hi Graham, I'm from your side of this great Australian land. And here is my story; Back in 1988, my uncle and I adventured for a Christmas trip to warren river. On the way back from our trip, we popped into Harvey and fueled up my short wheelbase V8 FJ40 and made way to Logue Brook Dam. As we drove up to the end of the dam, there was some eye-catching marron! As it was getting dark, I decided to spin my shortie around to aim the spotties into the water's edge. The bank was narrow, so my FJ was about 1 meter from the water, jumping out with great excitement to find some marron. (My FJ had a 5L auto conversion done, as usual, the FJ handbrake never works - you can see where this is heading) Being that the shortie is a V8, it drank the fuel like no tomorrow. At the time, I thought it would be right to turn the car off to save fuel. Before I knew it, as soon as that motor stopped running, the car started rolling into the dam, I had selected reverse, not park. There was no way of stopping her, 4 meters in little did I know there was a 25-foot drop waiting. The car rolled off the edge as I stood there, watching my tail lights settle at the bottom of the lake. She didn't fall on her roof after the plung, she landed on her roo bar waiting and lights blazzing. I took quick action and dove down and turn off the lights. The next day I returned with an 18-tonne tow truck, car trailer, 12 meters of chain and 200 meters of cable to reach from the tow truck through the bush around a pulley attached to a tree and down into the lake to retrieve my car. As the tow truck was trying to winch the FJ out of the water, the vehicles front two wheels lifted off the ground. After much persistence and challenges that came up during the recovery, we eventually got the old girl out onto the trailer and headed home. The Worst thing is that I just finished rebuilding the car 3 weeks before the event, fresh paint and all. Marron = 1 FJ = 0 Cheers Graham & Co for all the fantastic videos of your adventures.
Dropped a closed beer off my buddies dock on a lake. Forgot about it till a year later. Had me a good 10 beers and decided to go find it. Ended up finding it and shot-gunning it. Best beer I ever had.
Not Really a bigger bog, but a plenty good one: A few weeks ago we were skipping snomobiles in a frozen river, and my dad's broke through. We had to break up the ice, and pull it out of the meter deep water by hand. The engine was also full of water so we took the tops off the cylinders and cycled the water out before getting it started again, about 4 hours later.
I lost my 66 ford f25o to a downed tree. Driving over the tree wasn’t the issue, it was the large drop coming down off it which knocked a fuel line off and caused the whole thing to burn. Only thing left was 4 patches of the 44inch boggers that were making contact to the ground

I built a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9L. It had long travel suspension front and rear, Fox shocks, Ford 8.8 rear axle with a trust kit, 231 transfercase. Ever weekend me and my girls went on adventures. We love to get lost
I drove my Forester down a dry drainage ditch, got bogged down in the middle, and got some local guys to try and help me out. Couldn't get anyone into the start of the ditch without getting stuck, and rain was on the forecast, so it wasn't going to get any easier, and after the first rain, more would probably come. Finally found someone with a build enough truck to come in from the other side and get me out. Thanks to that guy!

Enjoyed this video. I have now done two Moreton trips with a stock 4x4, totaling 2 weeks... Great place. My hairiest moment was on the eastern beach at 4am trying to make the central track exit with an incoming time, a very narrow beach with ~1-2m of sandbank on the inland side, waves on the other... We missed the cross island track entrance and was forced to do a 3-point turn about 4km down the track, with looming waves on one side and sand banks on the other and the beach getting narrower by the second... Got out okay just as the beach narrowed to just over 1 car wide...close call.
Thanks for sharing Richard. Fantastic images. I see you found the old sandstone barn at Asplawn. Very much like my image that you featured on one of the “Your images” videos. Such a beautiful old building and great location.

I once recovered a beer from my friends truck that got stuck in a lake at the boat launch. Top that one boys
I Buried 6 cans on Lahinch Beach Co Cork.
Went back a year later and dug them up.
Didn't taste the best.
I put that down to a shit beer selection.
@Brock Robert Mclean Only if it's in the cask. Bottled won't make a diff.
John Mark Murphy I love Lahinch! I live in NY but my ma is from Dooradoyle in Limerick and i split time between NY and back home
Mates enjoyed every minute of it. Also i wish you two lots and lost more Father & Son rides, i really envy you about that, enjoy every minute together.
How’s that recovery?!!
Got bogged in croc and hippo infested waters in the Okavango Delta.
2x DAF 6x6 trucks.... 3 days... lots of digging and manual hilift jack winching!
You ones are legends! One of my favorite episodes!, nice to see a Staffa 🇿🇦 on there 🤙
Shot boys
Video's 5 years old and that Triton is still top tier. Love it.
"I feel like we're the Power Rangers.
With our powers combined...
We are Captain Planet!"
Classic save! Haha.
Completely different shows but that's okay! Lol
Graham translation:
Heeya = Here
Beeya = Beer
Weeya = We Are
That's just us west Aussie blokes aye
That's because they are 2 syllable words 🤦♂️ you east Aussies:
Here = Heeeeeer
Beer = Beeeeeer
We're = Weeeeeer 😁😁👍
Yewwww = goodness me, that was delightfully pleasant.
GOOD DIE = GOOD DAY
DAMN BOIII
It touches the soul. Out there, with friends. Challenges contrasted by nature at its best. I'm so inspired, I think I'll go change my oil now.
Dang those poor winches and batteries and alternators oh my! You need a pto or hydro winch for that kind of pull.
Even a snatch block or 2 to take off the strain
I snagged a MIl version of a Warn 18K winch. It'll pull a battleship if needed.
so happy you guys are doing this for free on youtube!! I'm so keen to see this place once again in August !!! work trip
Thanks boys for making my Thursday that much better!
Shit yea, you know your in for a solid video when rockets in the convoy🤩, love that 79🤩🤩🤩
Wacky 101 haha honestly
most fun driver by far not to underrate shauno though
@Kynan Holmes 😂😂 he is the rocket
This ep is my favourite so far. Heaps funny, informative, fantastic photography… love it lads
I am from South Africa 4x4 is big here so nice to see you feature a South African
Hi Graham,
I'm from your side of this great Australian land. And here is my story;
Back in 1988, my uncle and I adventured for a Christmas trip to warren river.
Marron = 1
FJ = 0
Cheers Graham & Co for all the fantastic videos of your adventures.
This and a few beers best way to spend a Thursday arvo 🍻
Only a few come on mate 😉
Dropped a closed beer off my buddies dock on a lake. Forgot about it till a year later. Had me a good 10 beers and decided to go find it. Ended up finding it and shot-gunning it. Best beer I ever had.
Love your videos. I'm from America, wish I could get my FJ Cruiser out there in your convoy. Looks like a blast!!!
Wouldnt do it mate. That fj cruiser will be worth way more soon. Is it rocketing in price in the US too?
You guys are the the meaning of man. Men looking after men while men are freaking out. What a legendary group.
Not Really a bigger bog, but a plenty good one:
A few weeks ago we were skipping snomobiles in a frozen river, and my dad's broke through. We had to break up the ice, and pull it out of the meter deep water by hand. The engine was also full of water so we took the tops off the cylinders and cycled the water out before getting it started again, about 4 hours later.
Thoroughly enjoy watching your adventures boys! I'm taking many notes for myself and my boys 🤙🏼
Keep up the good work 👏🏼 😊
Yeeew misses is still at work till 6 what a killer arvo no one to annoy me 😂🤙🤙
oh fuk here she comes
I lost my 66 ford f25o to a downed tree. Driving over the tree wasn’t the issue, it was the large drop coming down off it which knocked a fuel line off and caused the whole thing to burn. Only thing left was 4 patches of the 44inch boggers that were making contact to the ground
You guys helped inspire me to buy a 4x4 canter and come and tour Aussie, thanks :D
These guys need their own show... It was so enjoyable to watch this
You guys have inspired me to want to get up and explore this amazing island
You guys are amazing, the lightest vehicle amongst you is around 6 tonnes, yet you made it.
Respect.
I wish I could visit OZ and do this!
Love from Turkey 🇹🇷

I built a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9L. It had long travel suspension front and rear, Fox shocks, Ford 8.8 rear axle with a trust kit, 231 transfercase. Ever weekend me and my girls went on adventures. We love to get lost
Absolutely loved this video looks a great park, you guys are so chill and great together.well done to all involved in the build.
Man, I love this channel! Y'all have the best adventures!!!
When rocket comes flying into that soft inland track and you can hear a faint "Holy shit"
Classic.
Thank you for the entertainment,just loved it,as well as being tru Aussies in getting that truck out for the young man.
I really want to travel to Australia one day, you guys are awesome

Why does anyone give a thumbs down? If you aint interested, FO to the cooking channels. These guys trips are like Vegemite, love 'em or hate 'em, you don't have to watch. We love 'em.
This is great but the best part is the bloopers at the end 😂😂
I was about to say, "wish I was with you", but after watching the whole video....."I think I was !!!".
Well done boys !!!!.

This is great content boys! Love it.. what a gem of a channel.. hooked on as I develop a keen interest in 4WDs!! Love it
That Series 80 is just beautiful. Let's keep that rig going for a good long while!
Great episode love the fishing segment would love to see more in future episodes
Argentinian here learning a lot from you guys!! Love the fishing and beaches challenges
Thanks for sharing Richard. Fantastic images. I see you found the old sandstone barn at Asplawn. Very much like my image that you featured on one of the “Your images” videos. Such a beautiful old building and great location.
Loving the addition of a fishing segment in the episode
Awesome video by the producers, and of course the "Team" that made this all possible. I Really enjoyed this!
Mick (Victoria)
