Watching LSV and comparing his opinions to NumotTheNummy is always fun. Both phenomenal drafters- I'm guessing LSV has a bit more of a bo3 bend while Nummy has more of a bo1 bend? But in any case, their style differences that both turn amazing records are both highly educational, and frankly inspirational in why I like Magic- just tons of viable strategies and ways to creatively and strategically express yourself. It's also entertaining to see the 2 drop Kenji calls one of the best uncommons in the format LSV call "good, but not great" lol
Dude, literally anything crushes with Necro, even Knight of Stromgald. Actually thinking about that card... it would make the cut in your deck, lol, (after all it taps for convoke AND is double black for your 3 in 99 Nykthos) so this one's on the house.
I'm surprised to hear how lightly LSV thinks of Kenrah Spellspear; that to me is an uncommon bomb without really needing much else, prowess seems easy enough to trigger in this format once or twice every other turn to really push this thing to the endzone
@@Kryptnyt I suppose it's a bit hard to call it a bomb but damnit is it close. Here's my reasoning, a 2cmc 2/2 with Prowess is sweet, add trample? now we're talking Rare-level stats/value (imo). Add a clause to the card that allows you the option of missing a 3drop on curve, and still being consistent on the board as far as a creature with 3/3 worth of stats AND Ward2, AND Tample AND Prowess x2; its kinda ludicrous not only the power contained within a 2 drop that can easily get out of control left unchecked, but it allows you to have great options on curve.
Hey @LSV, do you recommend running 16 lands in draft? I usually only do it in my decks with curves ending around CMC 5, but after watching you I'm thinking of maybe just always running 16. Thanks for the great vid!
This must have been extremely early in the format for a Preening Champion, the mythic common of the set with a winrate better than Inspiring Overseer in SNC, to wheel 10th pick. Somebody took a Crystal Carapace over Preening Champion in this pack!
Good stuff. Can I just say that Ive begun to find the Furnace Gremlin to be overrated. It looks better than it is when you have so many other more powerful things to spend mana on in this format.
@@devilbhrothesavage2807 L take, every color is playable, removal is strong enough to mitigate bombs, slow enough to encourage grindy games, what more could you want?
Great games. I don't like the bonus sheet because the whole point of limited to me is ekeing out tiny edges with similarly mediocre cards as your opponent - when you play against 2 mythics and 2 rares in one game, it's not limited to me anymore.
Watching LSV draft is always a treat. Learn a ton every time.
The conclusion of the convoke opponent match was reminiscent of that scene in Indiana Jones
haha, when indi shoots the guy with the scimitar after all those fancy moves? HAHAHA love that
i somehow know EXACTLY what you mean
HAHAHAHAHA I TOUGHT THE SAME
Read the comment first and smiled. Then i watched the game. And laughed because that's perfectly accurate.

56:35 is a “call an ambulance… but not for me” moment
wow that stomping @ 22:01 and especially 22:06 ... i would literally, LITERALLY go crazy
the play that happened around 32:55. you got so much value considering you also got a treasure.
@56:30 lmao impresive stuff, but...
Made me laugh loud
That game against the Jegantha player was sick
Watching this video as a new player thinking: man this guy is so much better than me. I really do suck.....
Then I saw his Wikipedia page
highest quality series of bo1 draft I've ever seen
Did a few drafts and a couple sealed with this set and it seems pretty tough so get multiple cards for synergy a lot of the time.
That Broodlord seems like it would crush in EDH with necropotence

Was going to put this, that cards gets out of control fast and easily.
The trample really puts it up there. I wouldn't call it a bomb and would take many things over it, but it's a good role player

Wasn't paying attention, but wow, that's insane lol
1:02:59 the one drop is free to play there since it costs one and helps convoke with big guy. Maybe there was a reason to not play it
Excellent play.
All hail broodlord vargas! Great content as always
That was an absolutely breathtaking showcase. Very cool
Flawless Victory!!!
Hoarding Broodlord is definitely a beast!
I think its a dragon
Dang, wish you were playing in a mythic field!
Dont really have any idea whats happening lol but like watching these videos in background as I work

Time for some good ol' Luck, Skill, and Victory B)
Great run
Seven sweet games.
Casually drawing your one bomb every single game and winning with it, every single game.
Yeah like after drawing half your deck..............
every single game
Do drafts give you access to Companions? Or are they in some packs?
They are part of the legendary creatures bonus sheet, so yes, they can be in the pick if the legend happens to be a companion.
More LSV content? first pick cloudskate and wheel high tide, I'm in!
imagine the player that picked green
Must be a draft from early in the format. No way should a Preening Champion or a Saiba Cryptomancer EVER wheel, especially in Pack 1.
it was painful to watch him pass the first preening champion
The late Spellspear confused me lots.
Luis looks like Alex Jones.
This format is so awesome. I wish I was a little better at it lol
Nah MoM is terrible like every rare/bomb dominated set. A good limited set has strong uncommons and weak rares this is literally the opposite.
@@devilbhrothesavage2807 L take, every color is playable, removal is strong enough to mitigate bombs, slow enough to encourage grindy games, what more could you want?
The "oh they did cool stuff, anyway. Rare, Rare, you are dead"-game kinda sums up the format for me so far

Is cube limited?
Engagement
4 mana tutors are fine limited cards. Saying they don't see play anywhere is just plain untrue.
Remember that time he crushed his fans money by working for a con man to trick people into investing into magic internet money?
I clicked just to comment. If you spoil the outcome of the draft I refuse to watch because I'm not a stupid zoomer. Sorry LSV, love ya
