@@NURS3898 Hi there! Yes, its something magical about them in a way. I just woke up and did my usual round to see if domething new has happened since yesterday amongst my orchid collection. A very satisfying weekend routine 🩷
Hej, after 3 months of paralyzing heat my mood dropped deeper with the sudden change of temps. So... guess what I did? YES, you are right... 'October 1' list from O&M. Ordered some Vandas, Dens , Catts + bark. The parcel was huge and sturdy and was re-used from the original vendor from Taiwan. Now I know that a single 'travel suitcase' contains 80 Cattleyas (sticker on the package) and now I really don't have no place no more (she says). Despite many empty sheets, got my first under artificial light blooms from B. Golden Glory 'Apollo'🤸♀and my freebee cutting cutting from a flower shop of a zick-zack cactus has 3 buds. The flowers are short lived but I love the - meanwhile huge - plant. Orange dyed Phals are back in the supermarkets 🤮 Happy that you are feeling good again! Many regards❣
@@annareiter952 hi there my friend, long time no hear 😆 well these strange weather conditions were having can drop anyones mood down to 0 to none... that apollo...wow, looks like a more yellow variation of the frances fox to me. Well, after this co-ordering another couple of people from the asociation asked me for a schwerter co-order and guess what, plants arrived last saturday. Tomorrow another co-order oroblably from OG. 😁😁 well well,, our orchids put a golden lining to our lives. A lit better than many other things to be obsessed with so,, no worries. I guess I'm better in a sence...but it comes and goes.. this lack of inspiration and sudden lack of energy , ache in my throat.. 6 weeks now.. atleast I'm trying to film again but I feel exhausted all of the times. Anyways I'm happy to hear from you and what's going on over at your place A! Loads of hugs from me 2 U 😍😀
Nice haul Karin! I also got that Longiscott but it's not looking that happy after repotting . Good luck with your Roth, I think they like a lot of light, almost to Cattleya level.
@@justinsdutchtropics Thank's for the tip regarding the light levels for the rothschildianum! And yes...The Longiscott...there was trouble to the black part and the repotting didn't really help out... grr.. Thank's for taking the time to watch my new video! 😀
Nice orchids! 🤩 I have heard a lot of negative comments about this nursery actually 😏 A lot of pests like scale on the orchids… so I have never ordered from them, though their prices are very good. I once had a Toshie Aoiki ”supernova”, a very difficult plant that never rooted and ended up in the bin 😢 That cross you got is very beautiful 😍
@@CharlotteDessi Hi there! I guess I've been very lucky then or perhaps I should wear my lenses more often 😁 I've never spotted anything on any of the plants from them or schwerter for example. But that doesn't mean that there were no nymphs or eggs somewhere on them not visible to the eye on them... my mealies I've got from local gardencenters and ikea. But well where did my scale invasion come from? Hmm ...anyways I wish I'd gotten the berry Cattleya for myself. So small and lovely! Have a great weekend thank's for talking the time to watch 😀
@@KarinsOrchids yes, gardencenters are totally hopeless regarding mealys, thrips and so on 😝😣 I never got any pests from Germany either - but actually that CG Roebling alba with buds had som old dry scale when I got it😵💫😵💫 guess they spray them… unfortunatly that plant got a horrible smelly black rot within two days this week so it went in the bin, I hate when that happen 😪 I got scale once from a seller on FB… one has to be carefull I guess… I think Lucke has that cute little Berry 😍 have a nice weekend 👋👋
@@CharlotteDessi I guess they are still permitted to use a little bit more systemic-like pesticides over there. But they only lasts for maximum a few weeks so...scale will eventually develop anyways.. grr. Lucke! I live that nursery as well. Very nice cattleyas for decent price levels as well (still) 😀😀
@@KarinsOrchids I like Lucke too Unfortunatly I had trouble order from them many times the last months… It seems like the option of payment via visa card is gone… so it was just ”error error…” I wrote to them but they didn’t answer how to pay instead… 😏😏 (I don’t want to use PayPal)So I have ordered from Schwerter instead
@@CharlotteDessi Aha! I like pp but they charge extra though it may ve worth it in case the package disappears in transit etc. Cc cost quite a bit extra as well with no safety in particular included I think.
Thanks for sharing your lovely plants with us today. I hope they all grow for you.❤
@@andreaallum8859 Thank's for watching A! They were all fine except maybe for the scottianum.. 😀
