Kelis, I'm a fellow Sista Sag. I too am multi-faceted. I'm also a divorcee of an industry producer who lived through & raised my four Sons through the haydays of the late 80's & 90's. I was always being told that I was "scattered" & that I needed to "focus on one thing". If I had taken that advice, I would not be a girl from New Brunswick, NJ who moved to Inglewood, CA in 1986 and became a highly-sought Master Barber who served the greater Los Angeles urban, suburban, business & entertainment communities for 30+ years, apprenticed under a Master Herbalist/Iridologist/Naturopathic Dr. & as a commercial carpenter. Then took a culinary course! Now I'm an Iridologist, NaturalHealth Practitioner/Health Coach, a Writer, pHermenter & Vertical Micro-pHarmer, trusting that the carpentry skills will kick-in soon. I'm thinking about going back to school to study Osteopathy. But my public servant (as a Barber) & entertainment industry experiences CERTAINLY positioned me to be ALL the rest of who I've become and have yet to be. It was like MY time in a tailor-made University that caused me to realize it's all been within me all along.
