  • The new RC4wd.com TF2 Toyota Xtra cab build, going in a new direction for me making a 90's show truck! This part we play around with the suspension trying to get some lift to clear the RC4wd centerline wheels with Irok swampers!

    I was gonna buy the Scottsdale Next, but I changed my mind to buying this one that truck is looking good. I just like the long wheelbase trucks a lot I have the black extended cab the back to future truck ..

    Keep the good work man, I like the direction this one is heading 😉 Also, if you need a little extra length out of the shocks you can swap the ends with the traxxas rod ends. I do this often on mine when I need that little extra length and they tend to not rattle loose then either

    Awe man the wheels and tires look awesome on it!! 👍👍
    My vote is still for turning this beauty into the Back to the Future Yota lol Wish I had the funds for this it's the perfect platform for it all you need is the front brush guard and a black paint job. 😙👌

      You may or may not know this so just a heads up. RC4WD does already make the exact Marty McFly Yota with this exact body in black, KC lights n all to an exact T. Wheels n all. Just thought you should know if you didn't already.

    Looks good bro, I have the same 1.55 Irok tires on my Back to Future 87 and added a 4mm lift block in the front and back to get the clearance for the tires. I noticed the same thing on mine with the rear axle not looking centered until you squat the suspension . You can’t notice it with the smaller tires nearly as bad .

    I wish there was a Super Swamper TSL option in a 4.19 size. Back in the day on some of the lifted Toyota show trucks was a rear tilt bed.

    Might want to try the A&M Garage high clearance skid/ transfer case mount, it allows you to mount the transfer case much higher, and doesn't require a change to the rear drive location. Only thing I found it does, is it makes the front shaft sit closer to the trans housing, which, if you run the single speed trans, shouldn't be an issue. I have A&M Garage's shackle reverse kit, and high clearance case mount, and love them on my LWB, and what really is awesome about them, they're made from aluminum.

      Those parts on this truck are with the scale engine bay from Rc4wd.com. If you need those pieces separately scaledesignsbymrcommaD.com makes them. Funny name but he makes a ton of scale engines and engine bay accessory

      @@RCeveryday yeah, with mine, I'm running the 2 speed, so I had to get a left pumpkin front axle, ended up switching to the K44 axles. I know the LWB comes with them for the K10 body, but mine is the old first gen, with the Mojave 2 four door body, that I got badged up as a Hilux

    RC4WD still sells the super scale shock boots in yellow, they also have em in blue, red and black.
    They also have rear shock mounts that bolt onto the side of the frame with quite a few options for adjustment, compared to just bolting it right onto the frame, part number is Z-S0768

    On the 1/6 Jimny when doing the axle flip we also bumped the axle a hole forward. That helped it.

    Instead of the lift blocks, why don’t you use the spring that has the lift already been into it that also help you with Axel wrap instead of having those blocks

    • @RCeveryday
      @RCeveryday  5 місяців тому +4

      They wouldn’t really give it lift. Unless I stacked in 10 or so per corner. But then it would have no suspension travel at all and be terribly stiff.

    • @RCeveryday
      @RCeveryday  5 місяців тому +1

      yeah, the body style changed before the axle did. They modeled it after the owners 87, but they dont offer an IFS so we get a hybrid, lol

      From my understanding. We had an 87 when I was a kid that was like this. But with the ifs. I think other than color options changing through the years they are basically the same body.

  • @beng.6417
    @beng.6417 5 місяців тому +1

    Don't think that's an 87. The graphics suggests it's an 84 or 85. 87 also has a revised dash without the little lip on top of the gauge cluster.

    You weren't cool back then if you didn't have at least four chrome shocks per axle and chrome or paint matched dual steering stabilizers. At least I only remember chrome, color matched or just Rancho White on everything. I wish someone would come out with a stout scale 2 1/2 ton top load Rockwell axle, something that would handle a really powerful brushless set up.

    great video !!! quick question the 1:10 scale lift you have in the video do you know if thats wide enough to fit the rc lowriders? been looking getting one just worried its not wide enough.. or even to heavy lol ?

    • @RCeveryday
      @RCeveryday  5 місяців тому +2

      That one is not motorized like the rc4wd one, but it is wide enough for the 64 and 59. They are roughly the same width as the scottsdale body. All aluminum it can hold some weight. I think I got it through RCmart or Asiatees many years ago.
