comedians are by nature more observant. politicians spend their entire life "going through the motions" paying attention to nothing but voting time.

This SJW nonsense that is all over American media nowadays is so alien to me. I just can't relate to this buzzword BS at all. Honest question is race really that big factor over there like most of the media sites seem to imply?

Seriously, this video is kinda racist, like not all white people are the problem neither putting black culture in a pedestal the solution. Not all white people have privilege and a lot of black/ asian/hispanic americans have the exact same, I am a minority and i have been a foreigner of the US, furthermore I am Spaniard and though I am european most people thought and treated me like hispanic and guess what... I did not care!! neither did i care for people who treated me wrong, and i assure you there were and from all races (they are called assholes and come in every race, shape and form), there also were people who treated me good, the problem is not an imaginary group based on race but its individuals and an (american) culture who teaches kids that people who are different from them are worst. Come on because you are white you can't say something's racist ?? WTF!!

This feels like such a divisive perspective to have on race relations. I'm a white guy, but um I'm married to an Asian woman, and I'm far more immersed in her family and their perspective on things. My god, this train of thought dividing people into their ethnicities is just... terrible... This is how you create problems, not how you fix them. This is literally how you drive a wedge between people. What ever good you think you're doing, however enlightened you think you are... Please re-think your position. If you can see how this doesn't end in people wrapping themselves in their ethnicity as a major part of their identity (which is actually bad), please explain. Right now, all I see is well meaning people fomenting racial hatred on either side of what ever falsely constructed divide they have buried themselves behind. Instead of "we're all just people".

At the very end you said about the next podcast "It's an interesting conversation" and, you see, this one specifically didn't seem like that to me. I praised you for the last one on Twitter (@master_blizzard) because I liked the fact that you discussed things with Shatner and didn't just agree with him everytime.
Now, I don't mean you have to invite people you don't agree with or that you must fake not agreeing with them, but I'm sure in all these topics you must have continous internal conversations and debates with yourself. Well, let's bring them here. You should have asked Jodi questions that you have asked yourself when you are insecure of where you stand, something that happens to all of us.
As you can see and you will see from other comments, Big Think is full with people that are anti-SJW's and regressive left, me being one of those people too. I agree with the beggining of the podcast but then you start punching yourself in the chest too much.
All I'm saying is that it would be nice to hear the POV of the guest questioned. I know it will get some people mad when the guest is famous and admired, like Shatner, but I really think it's what would make this podcast interesting to listen to.
You are not there to give your honest opinion (although of course you can give it), you are here to start and provoke a conversation, independently from where you stand.
Anyway, good luck, I'll be sure to be back next time!

Bring Peace, separate Black and White, thats why God made
the colors different, because their culture is very different.

      That's right brother.
God made things different for a reason.
Men should only fuck men and women should fuck only women. Amen.
