I love how realistic this is. I’ve been looking for closet organization ideas and all the videos I’ve been seeing are so grand (which isn’t bad too, cos some people do have grand closets) but I’m glad to see a video with simple and practical things that are still aesthetically pleasing 🤍

I also keep shoes in the entryway closet. It keeps the house so much cleaner and slippers or socks are so much more comfortable.

I migrated from retail years ago, but will always space clothes and pull out the sleeves! Haha I even hang future outfits on a hook by the closet. 😂 It isn't too time consuming and is helpful for picking outfits on top of the fact that it's aestheticly pleasing.

This is so helpful! I am in serious need of help and unlike most videos I've seen this feels very practical and makes me feel like I can actually do it. The "rewear" drawer - brilliant! I usually just guiltily place whatever loungewear I"m on a random piece of furniture. I also appreciate the fact that the cleaning products you use (previous video I just watched, which was a helpful reframe for folding laundry) are cheap and sustainable. New fan

I'm russian and omg I don't get how people actually sit or lay on their bed in shoes they've been OUTSIDE in... and honestly just walking outside and then walking in those shoes on floors/carpets inside makes me cringe and want to mop the floors 🤣. We either wear slippers at home or just walk barefoot. the floors are clean cause nobody goes past the entry hallway in their outside footwear :)
I’m Canadian and don’t allow shoes past the entrance either. Yuck!

Every Greek I know ALWAYS leave shoes at door and wear slippers indoors . Also Swedes do this too
I just buy simple plain clothes you can mix/match with everything . I never follow "TRENDS" I wear what I like and it's simplest and functional . When cotton clothes do wear out I wash them and recycle ♻️them into clean rags .

Im from Norway and i was shocked when i found out people use shoes inside😯😂 but i looove the old tradition of sliding into slippers whenever coming home, something we in Norway really should have🥶
Here's a tip too!
Take a bag, like a plastic or reusable, doesn't matter and put it on a hanger. You can use it for small things like bras, socks, and others!
It's also great to use as a sock, underwear and bra hamper. Or whatever you put in it. Just take it off and put it in! That way it wont get mixed up either others.

I put the labels on the top edge inside the drawers so it's not visible outside the dresser and you can see it when you open the drawer for a better aesthetic look.

Does the black coating on the hanger hooks scratch off? It seems to be some black plastic coating rather than dyed black metal.
do you have to go up a half size to wear pointed toes? I cant seem to figure out the trick to these type of shoes.
I too do not feel comfortable with the idea of shoes with my fresh laundry. So, at the end of the shoe’s season, I wash the soles,and shoe Polish the uppers, store them in their original cardboard box in my closet. I’m not a fan of plastic shoe containers, because worn shoes are subject to sweat and bacteria and need to be stored in a place where they can dry and breath. Current season shoes stay in the entry closet on a rack below coats.

I don’t know if I’m weird for doing this. But I also hate wearing shoes in the house or mixing dirty and clean things. But I also like to keep my nice shoes (heals, etc) in my closet. So after I wear them I clean the soles, then I put them in my closet
Do you have any recommendations on cute free standing clothing racks? I cant find any that are cute and cheap and don’t break

shoes by the door or in a "particular wardrobe" - no shoes inside. I agree with you! But most people in Swede don't wear their shoes indoor.
I put my shoes in over-the-door storage (washable fabric) and it keeps the germs away from my clothes - Still in the closet, but removed!

I wish I could leave shoes by the door. My family never did this bc its "messy" or soemthing and we never had a mud room or anything. In my current situation a happy medium is leaving them in a shoe rack near my bedroom door. Probably not in that hall but we will see. Jsut wanted to ad this for anyone who might need this compromise

I feel like the shoes indoors and in your closet thing is very american. I also grew up with the sentiment that shoes stay at the door and you don‘t walk around in your outdoor shoes inside the house. I am german btw.
I have to do equal distance with coat hangers too, so OCD right 😂
Unless it gives you crippling and traumatic intrusive thoughts that mean you have to perform repetitive rituals to cleanse the thought that you’re going to end up hurting someone by not equally spacing the hangers, nah it’s not OCD. It’s ok to be really particular about your environment but please be more mindful about how it cheapens the reality of a really horrible disorder when you use it incorrectly.

Nah ma'am the shoes are left at the door thank you very much. It's how it's been and how it'll always be for me too. Never understood ppl with shoes inside and even in their godamn bed! No shoes inside the house let alone in my bedroom or closet. Even if you wash the soles and everything nope.
Every time there's a cute shoe company presented to me they never make my size of shoe 😭

i dont really recommend clothes to someone esp when it stands out or doesnt have much styling options, having a lot of people to wear it makes it overrated and cheap
I can’t stand shoes by the door I hate seeing other peoples when I visit. So untying and cluttered. Better in a garage or box to hide it.
