Musically, one of their simplest. Ale´s bass lines seem very simple, but to my untrained ear, they are incredibly sophisticated. She does her part for rhythm, but most of the time she is in charge of the melody, and sometimes her bass works as backing vocals.

In a power trio the bassist has to take on some of the role usually performed by the rhythm guitarist in a four piece. This is done so that the lead guitarist can alternate between rhythm and lead. It's tricky but they have devised a way with their song structure to drive the song with the bass lines while allowing Dany the room to sing even without playing guitar under the vocals at times. It's a smart way of doing it, especially composing the song around the idea of performing the song live with minimal backtrack. It depends on a highly competent bassist who can play the notes of the chord in runs vs focusing emphasis on reinforcing the lower notes of the chords the lead is playing, as is usually what a bassist does in a quartet. The result gives a much richer sound and texture to the music while making it much simpler for Dany to sing and play guitar at the same time. For all those who wonder why Ale doesn't sing lead all that often, she is very busy keeping the tempo and, as you say, carrying the melody. It is difficult to play a bass line which is an octave under the lead vocal and sing lead at the same times, let alone singing notes that are completely different than the ones you are playing to help sonically fill in the chord.

There's a lot of posibilities in a bass musically, if stepping outside the most traditional box. Just look a Royal Blood, they sound like an guitar rock band, but are an bass and drum duo. The swedish band Viagra Boys do also have some songs that are so heavy driven by the bass line, that the guitar are turned into an secundary instument.
