I'm in Rhode island. That had to be about a week or so ago. I work at TF green airport, for JetBlue on the ramp. It was nasty that weekend , and a few days later. I am a kayak Angler. I run my 2023 Hoodoo impulse 120, with my new nk-300. I'm really big on safety, love to cvr water, especially in tournaments. It sucks when you're in a tournament. You have to find a cove or cover, to grind out a limit. My kayak has everything, I would ever need. Electronics, accessories, safety supplies in a dry bag, kept in a separate hatch. I run a 100 Amp HR Lithium for my motor, and my Nocqua battery runs my FF/GPS, and I installed two usb's in my deck, with a volt meter to monitor everything. Glad you guys were safe. Mother nature is so beautiful, and kayak fishing is just plain Epic. But she can turn on you very quickly. Good job bro. 🙏 🎣 🌊
@@BEtheFish I actually bought a 5Ltr dry bag. In that, keep. A f-aid kit, small air-horn, lighter, matches, 1 set dry clothes, and always rain pants and jacket. Extra cell charger, portable charger, for anything USB. Glow sticks, my headlamp. It's a USCG Emergency bag, I just added things to it. And I don't leave the ramp without my bilge pump. $20.00, Frim West marine. Sometimes I'm three miles away from the ramp, and any other kayaks or boats. I know we fish freshwater. But some of the lakes reservoirs, I fish go 20 to 30 miles long. And the normal knife, whistle, a few other things on and in my PFD. But I do have a pacemaker and a stent. So I'm very prepared lol. But the motor, my fin drive, paddle, that's 3 ways to get to safety. I've just seen friends flip, and try to climb on to the bottom of the boat. Scary stuff in the weather you guys were in. I'll jump out, if I feel my kaya is going to flip. But it's been four seasons. So far, so good.. And I jump out and do a deep water entry once a year. Stay safe bro..🙏 😎 🎣
@BE the Fish thanks for the reply! As to your question, just what powers/actions you use for your most go to techniques. Other than that just whatever you feel like sharing
Bad weather sometimes causes Anglers to do silly things. Trying to outrun it, taking waves incorrectly, panicking. You will seldom sink your boat if you let it go with the flow. Not that it would help in this case, but do you think a bilge pump would work? Make it manual on and off.
@@BEtheFish it was wild. In the main canal I was fishing it was 4ft rollers, the main lake was 6+ it looked like the Ocean. The tide was rolling! Fish were not biting. 😬
May i ask about that big bait you are using to practice. Does it sink quickly? What would be the deepest you could get it? Thank you if you have time. So there is a big difference between Amateur and professional bass fishing. Amateur guys get a little annoying. They practice by actually hooking bass because the prize money is low so it is more fun. Personally i look at Amateur level as being a practice and learning time to get ready for Pro Bass. But i cant speak as i don't bass fish, it just seems logical.
That’s looked really scary, I always say I would never own a hobie, but I wouldn’t want to be out in that in anything else. You had some great catches, but be safe buddy.
start around 8:36 - I show more but didn't show everything on it because wasn't needed to show the guys mistake. Just important to highlight to be safe!

Any tips on gear to be safe on the water beyond a PFD?

@@anthonyvespia6662 good to know! Really appreciate the input here
Way to be quick on your toes Bailey. Good run!
You like that?😂
Question, would you ever consider doing a video on all the combos you have/use?
I sure can! I have that on the docket to film! Anything specific on them that you would like me to cover?

@@seanmarvin5348 you got it
That’s crazy. Good to see everyone safe. Question. What version of the mag draft do you use? I check my tackle shop and they have like 4 variations.
Just the standard pre-rigged
@@BEtheFish thank you for the reply. the pre rigged with the treble?
@@dznfishing yes!

Those new york bass are just different. Not even a full growing season and they are just big.

So what happened to the guy in the middle? Story you started to tell but was interrupted catching a fish.
