Never seen a more in depth review, literally you can plug anything into it. Good to see how much these things use as these things are essential for vanlife. Great review 👍
Bluetti have just released the Charger 1 which can come with the necessary lead to hard wire to you vehicle battery, this enables fast charging whilst driving, I have the bluetti ac200l and the charger 1 and they are excellent.
What I love about these power banks is there not just used for vanlife, they are useful for outdoor activities, also if you have a power cut in the house . They really are worth having . 😊✌️
Lorraine: Yes, I've just bought one (Afferiy 800w) which I can charge up indoors, and use if necessary, it also has a good light, but I take it out to the van and it keeps it warm for an hour or so whilst I am busy out there 👍
Power banks are a great bit of kit if you have access to mains charging, 12v charging and solar takes hrs and hrs for full charge. Perhaps a video on free mains charging points Mark ? There is more than you think !
Mike: I've just bought an Afferiy 800w and it was on for £329 but with a discount code (via Re-creating Kev channel) I got it for £260 😮😮 obviously the more power the more they cost, . . . 😊
I've just bought 1000w 666Wh power station off Amazon for £183.99 (UK sterling). If this works well, I'll buy another 2 or 3 giving me 2000Wh for less than £600.
How do you charge these powerbanks if you are parked up in the wilderness, and its dull rainy days so solar charging is very limited. My powerbank is only used for charging camera phone tablet etc. Cook with gas or an open fire outside. Interesting review, Take care Mark 🙂
I prefer the Ecoflow power stations, and when not using the dual-sided solar panels, I simply turn on the vehicle engine and it will quickly charge the big Ecoflow Delta 2 batteries at 800W from zero to full in just over an hour, while driving or even parked up with the engine idling. The latest Delta 3 Plus will fully charge from zero in only 90-minutes.
Hi Mark ... sorry to be a DUMMIE 😂🙃... BUT when your power bank reaches 0 % How do U charge it back up to 100%? Do U just plug it into a USB CABLE LIKE WHEN U CHARGE UP YOUR PHONE? 🤔🥰
Hi, hope you don't mind me replying as Mark can't reply to UA-cam comments still. You can charge the unit via your car cigarette lighter socket, solar panels, or by plugging into an normal wall outlet. All the cables come included for these three options. Wall charging is very fast at just over an hour from 0 to 100%. Solar and cigarette socket are alot slower but still very good options.
@@LOVEbeerSUNsmokeNATURE Also, Mark only showed the OUTPUT in other words how to use the power in the bank. He did show the cables for re-charging the bank back up to 100% but not where they go. Usually there is a place for the INPUT (to charge it up again) at the side, or back of the unit, and the output is at the front. These are usually clearly marked, but you need to read the instructions on your particular unit. Hope that helps in making it clear ... 😁
@@joline2730 Yes , a bit strange that he lives full time in a van with no solar but hasnt said anything about charging method or time . Advertising revenue ?

Good review Mark. I was wondering about the charging side of things, but you answered it especially in your context, i.e. no solar

As always ... honest opinion! 👌🏻💯🚙

Great wee review.
If you get ecoflow power station it charges up from your alternater 800w
One of these in your van and you dont need no fancy electric install, excellent, but they aint cheap, 1200 quid thereabouts.

He shows that.
You mean idle the van engine so you can charge from the cigarette lighter socket. Not something i would do
@mikehurley5052
Take a look at the Bluetti Charger 1 which allows for fast alternator charging from your vehicle.

You dont have to make abother vid Mark but could you just stick about 400ml in the kettle and then run a test? 👍
Roamin: Just halve the time it took for a full kettle . . . 😮
@@joline2730 no, that's not how things work, but I knew someone would say this 🤗

Ian: charge whilst driving, EHU at camp site, or in your house if you have one, and via solar panels (not very good in Winter ...)
