    What is the definition of fraud and theft in criminal law? This will define the scope for considering an act and its consequent liability and punishment.

    Decent lecture but just a correction R is for Regina not Rex, as there is currently a queen.

    • @TheLawSimplified
      @TheLawSimplified  5 років тому

      Hi Sterling. Yes, R refers to either Rex or Regina (considering it in the current context, as you’ve rightly pointed out ‘Regina’)

    Can you make a video on individual things like what a cop can do at a traffic stop and what a cop can exactly do when they see suspicious activity on the street. They teach us nothing in our criminal justice classes to become a cop.

    you said most heinous crimes are in common law, but how is rape not considered there and considered only in statute?

    • @TheLawSimplified
      @TheLawSimplified  5 років тому

      Hi Lawrence. Yes, 'some' of the most heinous crimes are 'defined' in common law, as opposed to Statute. In essence, it is somewhat safer to define in common law as well, considering the fact that UK has an unwritten constitution, which affords Parliament to amend and repeal Laws much more fluidly. Thus, if a crime is defined in common law, it has a better 'check' on change, since it would require an overruling in Court.
