I really really love this fan game even if it is one giant meme. I think it could serve as a great prototype to make an actual racing game based off of it.

The funny thing is, though, is that Sanic Ball captures many of the core fundamentals of what makes Classic Sonic fun ie. using the terrain in unique and interesting ways in order to explore the environment and take shortcuts.
In many ways, memes aside, Sanic Ball is more true to the original Sonic ideal than any Boost game.
