I wonder why Carlos never includes "Samba De Sausalito" in any of his concerts. I think it would be really cool to take that song and make it a showcase tune to give his band members an opportunity to solo and shine. Just a thought.
Check out some of the live recordings with McLaughlin from '73-'74. There is often an extended jam on Samba de Sausalito with powerful contributions from Doug Rauch and Armando.
