Yay I been waiting every time you post a new video you making your shoes !! They are coming out BEAUTIFUL 👞 👍🏼 maybe you can talk about different types of leather that can be used for soles like size, treated or non treated etc
Hi Harry, its so enjoyable & intriguing watching you learn as well as show/teach others with this classic style of shoe making - for a simpler future project, would you consider making a pair of leather (slip on) sandles with a nice thick car tyre sole?................I would buy from you (size 9) lol.
OLD LEATHER SMITH here, I make moccasins 4 Ren faire, my favorite leather is Bison, on my stiffeners I install a small piece of Elk directly in the back, seems 2 B better than one piece
Hi, want to ask a question here. So I've got this leather shoes with hard toe, but the very tip of is is somehow got softened and I cant put waxed polish on it because the polish will cracked. Any idea how to fix that softened part?
I am finding this very interesting as my dad has worked in the shoe industry and also in the leather industry, I am just starting to learn leather crafting, and I find your and other videos interesting. Can I ask you where do you get your leather from.
As I get into this I certainly have the appetite to try some more...maybe a simpler shoe next time on a commercial last....and when I get confident, some Russian hatch leather shoes!
I'm so glad you're making this series, as I have plans to make my first pair myself during the winter. What thickness did you use on the leather for the stiffeners?
Great job! So much improvement in presentation. Though it may be tedious for some, most may appreciate definition of terms. It's an opportunity to deepen your presentation.
Another page to the book, Very interesting Harry Thanks for sharing I am sure this will be a success Good to see handcrafts being used Cheers
Thanks Lez
Your clip is very good. Good
It fascinates me to watch you create things. I’m going to start simple and make a wallet. Perhaps one day I can try creating a shoe.
Great...Corter Leather on UA-cam have put up some great videos with free patterns.
That skiving machine is trick! Good job on a major task
Thanks...it gets a lot of use.

I got this from Leather Online in Italy.
Nice to watch you learning as you do this process for the first time. Do you intend making more pairs, Harry, or is this mainly an exercise?

Hi it was around 2.5mm from memory, I think I give an exact thickness in the video.
