Hey Jordan I was always told those were Greyhound transport cages, I love them, wish I'd of 50 or a 100 years ago when I raised pigeons. They would be perfect breeder cages, put a sloped tin roof with feed sacks packed under the tin for insulation, as for preservative I think I would soak them with mineral oil. Love the auction videos!
Great looking cages! Would love to see the different types of turkeys and other fowl you have around the house as well as what purpose the breeds are used for mostly! Love all your stuff man!
Hello from Belgium, Jordan. Thank you for the auction videos. Yes, these were filmed some months ago, but I am just binge watching, since I've decided on getting a small piece of farmland; and wanting to know which animals to start with. The auctions, gives me a good view of what the animals look like. And I appreciate your efforts. Thanks again.
funny fact back in the late 70s or early 80s ( cant remember exact year ) the city of charleston WV was overrun with pigeons some way the city of Atlanta found out about it and they wanted as many as charleston could send. Charleston spent several weeks catching them the final count was in the thousands and of course sent them to atlanta who proceeded to turn them loose downtown. long story short they almost beat the truck back to charleston.
Great video!! You should do a tour of all of your farm and like point and show us all the different breed’s of birds for instance like all the different kinds of turkeys you have.
Man oh man you are so lucky to have those sales!! I'd have a full freezer of cheap rabbit and chicken!! Love your auction videos! Have a good year my friend!!
You have a great year as well!! I used to have a few auctions nearby in years past. Being down to 1 close one makes me very grateful and aware how special it is!
Hey Jordan Sherwin Williams has a product called peel bond it is a primer but when it dries it forms a thick coating like Elmer's glue over the wood it really works great just a thought
I have had good luck with garage floor sealants/paint. Not cheap. But effective. Just mix together poor in paint tray apply with paint roller . I prefer fome roller for this. Do in very well ventilation. It has a really strong chemical smell. Cover hole board all sides . Marry Christmas
Happy New Year, Jordan and family. A good look around the auction. Some nice pens and a nice looking muscovy drake, he should do your ducks some good. We hope there's some more goose hunting coming up. There's been no butchery for a long time we would love to see some. It looks like you've had some good trapping, sorry you've had no bell, hopefully will give you one soon! Only 27 days left on our season for ducks, geese and pheasants etc. We will try and pinpoint some out and hopefully get another shot at them. They haven't played well for us this season at all! Take care and stay safe all of you. Malc and Ann (England) UK xx
Merry Christmas an Happy New Year brother sorry for the last watch an comment been busy over the holidays been trying to ketchup on the videos brother 👍👍👍👍👍
One tom, to stand at stud, for each breed/color, and at least TWO in reserve! Keep breeders penned by color, regardless, and ''killers'' can free roam about. Keep up with your quality!! Your Bourbon Reds are outstanding! I did not get as good a view of your R.P., but I'm sure they are also up to standard.
@@JordansHarvest because you are in Kansas, I STRONGLY and most emphatically recommend, new poults [maybe a few started ones, too] from none other than Frank Reese!!!! You will NOT be disappointed, as his stock are only bred to the standard, though maybe not true ''show-quality.'' You CAN and WILL get many show-type offspring [even if some have to come out of grand-babies] when you start with true standard [S.O.P.] brood stock!!! Frank Reese, Jr. owns and operates the renowned Good Shepherd Turkey Farm in Lindsborg.
Can I Get the sheep and store it at your house......lol Ive always wanted a flock of sheep. I unfortunately bought a house within city limits. I regret not looking for something with land.

Nothing crazy, crazy.... just one seller. For the boards, use marine grade epoxy. It will seal the wood and make it water proof. Just scrape the chit off it then sand the wood smooth then apply the epoxy. You can get epoxy tinting if you want to color it or just use clear if you don't mind the look of the wood.

Auction day is the best day
keep them coming
I love auction day!!! I’ll do my best!
You could use a piece of linoleum flooring for the cages
Maybe you could put some mesh or something instead of wood, it will make it so the droppings will fall down to the ground.

13:00 It looks like an aviary but the big partition
at the top has stumped me
🤷♂️🤷♂️
Those crates designed for greyhounds Kansas holds two Greyhound meats a year
Great video as always Jordan, keep up the good work!! Looking forward to 2022 and to see what videos you put out.
Hi Jordan, for your new cages you could use a wood preserver or old engine oil to preserve your boards on your new cages.
Thanks for the ideas!!!
I would recommend Marine grade plywood it lasted a really long time for me.
Solid idea! Thanks!

It sounds like it’s been a rough season for a lot of people! Hopefully you guys can finish strong!
Brown Leghorns are still my favorite light breed/color, ever!
Me too!!!
Those Perkins that sold for 4 bucks is crazy! At the place where I buy ducks they were trying to sell me three Perkins for 50 bucks
Love watching auction video
could you do some more scope cam farm hunts
I really need to! I’m having problems with the scope camera though

i just started following you...but i think chocolate x blue in Muscovy makes blue fawn or lilac.....

Use barn and fence paint from Home Depot it is made specifically for animals. Nice cages!!!
Thanks for the tip!
Them are some nice Pens. If Turkey jump my Granddaughter we would be having some Turkey Pot Pie or Fried Turkey. Enjoyed it Jordan

Merry Christmas to you!!!
Mineral oil, treat them with mineral oil after you clean them well
Have some metal trays made for them instead of the wood!!
Happy new year! Great auction video.
@9:20, those are called ''Sweetgrass'' turkeys.
Females.
It's an established color, but just not recognized by the A.P.A.
Thanks for the insight!

Great cages Jordan
Love those cages
You should try some water trapping
I’d love to! Time is what keeps me from doing the things I’d like to do though
make a all farm tour while feeding all animals
I’ll have to do that soon!
Do you ever see any chukars at these auctions?
Now and then, not very often though
Some of them cages to jam pack

paint the epoxy for UV protection
@@claudelewis5026 you don't need to with marine grade epoxy. It's already UV resistant.
One thing I've never said in my life "I don't need more gineas right now"
Seriously ???
Can you ever NOT need more gineas.....
Thanks
Thank you!
Time for turkey dinner
Quite possibly
Where is the city you live
The size of those cages are so small it's cruel
Turkeys look like sweetgrass to me
I’m not familiar with those at all
I feel 😪 sorry for all the emails...
Sand down the wood and coat it .
🤙🤙🤙
Glad you did not buy either of those white Chinese, @ 6:29.
There are so many, much better-quality WCG out there, to be had.
They definitely were of the production side of things
I see a better looking blue drake than him i this video, you could try polyurethane the plywood

Niraganca turkies i think
I seem to remember someone having a problem with you once before?
I don’t recall for some reason. It’s possible. I have a great memory, it’s just awful short.
@@JordansHarvest I can relate to that, I think you say back to them why do you gotta be like that
