I think she did great! people always expect high notes, belts etc. This is due to the fact that people minds have been over stimulated and fail to appreaciate the simplicity of this performance. The subtle and delicate and pure tone which I believe is more appropriate for this setting. Look at the performance overall with the beautiful back singers hormonising.... Look at the totality of it rather than concentrating on Leona ...Leona has a faboulos tone I have to say!
British people should be extremely proud of Leona Lewis. A real artist and a real quality singer and truly a real role model for younger generations. Most of the the other singers nowadays are a bunch of rebels broken souls and attention seekers and complicated individuals who probably did not have the parental and family support this yound lady had.

Years and years of bad technique gets you a weak, underdeveloped tone. All head, no full, zero chest. Breath control is all over the place. But she’s pretty, I guess.
She got unlucky, she was diagnosed with hashimoto disease which affects her voice, its like shes sick all the time. But I dont fully disagree, bad technique, overuse and maybe the infamous nose job played their parts too. But her throat sickness is mostly to blame :(
