Most pro football players run 9 + miles a game...every game, in the case of a team like liverpool, the central midfield players run 11-12 miles...every game
7:50 yeh that's a big thing, kids in Europe literally grow up taking footballs wherever they go and many start at age 3-6 years old. I am a decent player (not pro level) and I have some skill, and even though I never got paid to play, I got my skill by practicing by myself for 1000's of hours, which is mad, because I can do a lot of the moves you see in these vids. So if not making it takes 1000's of hours, imagine how many hours making it takes. I started kicking a ball when I was 2/3 and playing team games at 4/5 years old. I dont know but I would guess 99.999999% of pro Footballers, started kicking a ball between 2-4 years old and did it constantly up into their teens and through their teens (I missed the teens part due to the school I went too not doing football, and this is why I did not make the grade I think) By the time these pro's make their club debut they probably already have the hours I have currently (and btw I am an early 80's baby) So they have the same hours put in by the time they are basically half my age, and I put in hella hours lmao
Man, that really is a lot of time put in, but I can imagine it takes that many, cause I’ve put in a lot of time in basketball but not enough to make it to the pros lol. I respect anyone who puts in that much work tho, cause it really takes the love of the game to keep going
When names on shirts were first introduced one football comedy observed, "I mean 'Kanchelskis' - how the hell are you supposed to read that, the speed he moves at?"
08:00 yeh the goal keeper should have got that ball...but it hit the attacker and went out so the goal keeper gets the ball anyway...keeper did his job fine
@@yojustmatt legitimately man, Theo Walcott was in this video a few times (first time at 2:27 ) and he used to run 100m in sub 11 seconds 💪 his career was plagued by injuries sadly though and never reached the potential he had, he was my favourite player and I had his shirt growing up😂😂 Kyle Walker is probably the fastest player in the PL right now, he’s a defender for Manchester City and England, quality player.
Bro what nonsense are you talking about?! You do realize that 10 seconds flat is Olympic sprinter level right? Sure some footballers could get a 10.7 or something which is fast but not 10.00. That 0.7 seconds doesn't feel long at all but if you actually see that gap in a race it is actually quite a large gap.
@@dillonkrieger86 Yes, studies have shown that a lot of footballers could run in the 100m finals at the Olympics if they had chosen Athletics and not football.
@@Pepe-rf1zg I'm going to have to ask you to provide a source because I have to strongly disagree with what you said. Someone who has the potential to be an elite sprinter could more often than not destroy quite a few fast footballers in a race without really having to train for it. An example of this is teenage Usain Bolt who could run the 100m at around 10.7 seconds without really training for it at 15 or 16 years old. This time is more likely what guys like Mbappe would run in a 100m race in their twenties. He could be faster but he and many other footballers aren't close to touching 10 seconds flat, a time that not even 1% of the population is able to get. Also saying that they do it with a ball at their feet is big cap, that means you are saying that a lot of footballers are capable of running 100m under 10 seconds. I'll try to put into perspective just how fast sprinters are compared to fast footballers. If we are to assume that Mbappe has a top speed of 36.2 kph (based on data collected during a psg game), if he were to start 40m behind the starting line giving him time to reach his top speed before Bolt even starts the race he still wouldn't win Bolt (his average speed is 37.58 kph and has a top speed of 44.72) who will have started running only once Mbappe had hit his top speed and reached the 100m starting line where he would be starting from 0 kph and then still having to accelerate and catch up to someone who is already running at top speed and already created a bit of a gap.

And not only that, the high intensity they put in is also insane. Short sprints are exhausting.
