A tip, when you want to use a "pop of color", but want to play it a bit safe and appeal to a wider audience, ALWAYS go green! A soft sage works for many. Regardless of if you go dusty, pastelly or bright

My studio tutor used to buy wood glue/PVA in bulk and put them in those kitchy ketchup bottles. It meant using less plastic, it was cheaper, and you could refil the ketchup bottles so it was easier to squeeze as there was less air in the bottle.

I'd paint them a different color although the blue is cute it reminds me of a kids room or fun house. The other ones looked so expansive you totally could have sold for more but it was a very good profit. You could totally do them again in a light stone color I'm sure they'd sell fast

I hope the buyers won‘t get mad when they see what the items cost to make 😅
I like the mdf tables, i hope you get a good price for them. The problem is mdf furniture is so common (so ikea), it would take something really unique to generate more interest in them. One idea would be to add a detail that would give the tables an additional function. I suggest a small hole on a corner of each tabletop where you can fit in a small glass container that can serve as a flower vase.

    • @helenm1085

I don't see why you'd be mad that someone didn't spend much on the materials for your tables...
      1. They're paying for the work to make them, plus the creativity to design them
      2. everything she got for free would have to be paid for if they wanted to make the tables themselves

In Minnesota there is a NP called Bridging. They supply furniture etc. To folks who have limited money to furnish a home. Usually low income folks or those trying to put their lives back together...I am sure there is a similar NP in Canada

I'm impressed with how much the lacquer spray paint looks like lacquer. 😊 The cost of spray paint is crazy. I recently bought a can that had a stone like finish, $12.

Recently, when I sell something, I'll say that the money will be donated to a cause (I did Doctors Without Borders and St. Jude). People feel good about their purchase benefitting a good cause. Of course, I don't say anything about donating when I'm selling a piece for my own profit. :)
I'm excited to watch this series!

Ok hear me out. Repaint those tables in the mushroom aesthetic that's so popular rn. Beige shroom legs and a rich red top. 🍄 🍄 Or slightly more muted red and go neutral nursery vibes

Go to an art store which sells spray paint to graffiti artists. They have way more selection at least here in the us. I had a project and my local art store had at least 20 gray spray paint colors. Then get a lacquer clear coat finish.
